Decided to eat here because of the mostly good reviews and my love for churros. We ordered carne asada tacos, chicken nuggets for the kids, and carne asada fries. The food was delicious! They were busy but we didn't wait too long. I wasn't a fan of the seating in the hallway but other than that, it was great. I also got churros before we took the train back to Palmdale. Three chocolate filled and one plain. Everyone in our family loved the churros. We'll definitely stop here again whenever we're in California.
Wow is an understatement. My son and I took a train ride in to town and decided to hit La Placita Olvera (only a 10 minute walk). We looked up and down trying to find a place to eat. He said I want to eat here, I was not convinced by the initial looks but being a dad I decided to give my son what he wanted and we ordered. He had a bean and cheese burrito, I had an asada burrito. When we got our food, I felt like my burrito was a small baby, it was thick and heavy. First bite and I was so glad we chose to eat here. The great taste was there through every bite. Their red salsas was flavorful and packed a little kick. Def recommend. 4 stars only because of the seating in the hallway.
Very tasty food, friendly staff, versatile atmosphere
Quick, tasy and everything you want from a churro. Spend money here.
This place is located inside el Pueblo gallery on Olvera street. It’s a window shop where you order and there’s seating either outside or a couple small tables inside. This review is for the churros. They have other food there but I only tried the churros. They have all kinds of churros with filling. I opted for just the plain churro and that was delicious! I’m sure if the plain churro was delicious the other churros are likely as good! The service was very nice and the area looked clean and tidy! I would come back if I’m in the area.

This excellent spot for churros, bottled and iced drinks and Mexican dishes. The staff is friendly and helpful. I was quite surprised when they cooked the churros to order just after the order was placed. The result was delicious and fresh. I ordered plain, guava, and carjeta. They were delicious, just the right amount of chewy, and full of flavor. There are seating areas just near the order window.
For an authentically unique Mexican beverage, try tejuino. From their sign for the drink:
TEJUINO it is a cold beverage made from fermented corn popularly-drunk in the Mexican state of Jalisco.
Tejuino is made from the same corn dough used for tortillas and tamales. The dough is mixed with water and brown sugar (piloncillo) and boiled. Then the liquid is allowed to ferment very slightly. The resulting drink is served cold, with lime juice and a pinch of salt.
This is a great authentic spot for delicious Mexican food and other sweet treats that are reasonably priced.
Really good fresh churros. Get the ones with no filling they are the best. If you like cream get the custard one it's the best.
They have filled churros with several fkavors. We tried Chocolate, Nutella, Strawberry, and Cheesecake. In my opinion, the Cheesecake filling was best. It is sweet, but that's what I like. Chocolate is not as sweet and has a rich flavor. Nutella was a hit with the kids. Price was $4 for a filled Churro.
Awesome place. Best Churros I've had in the United States. Small little hidden place with plenty to offer. There's a lot going on here. Haven't tried the savory food here yet but the churros and Aguas are on point and they are very inexpensive. Check it out if you're near.

Love the food, went here with 2 friends and my brother, we all had a good time, although it's quite small, and there's not the much places to sit, but the people who work here are really sweet.

Very good excellent ?
One of the best al pastor tacos I've ever had. The carne asada was good but not as tasty.
They had a guitarist playing fun music which improved the atmosphere.

Slow service in a lively historical part of Los Angeles. The original churro was about $4. It was just okay. I did request less sugar as per my usual tastes. Parking was easy but limited lot.
