Good food
I was so excited to try this place. I've been following them for a minute. I spent about 100 dollars because I really wanted to try almost everything. Idk if it was a bad batch but everything that had oxtails was beyond salty.... now it could just be me. I had my daughter whose 11 try it and she said the same thing. The flavor profile is there. It was just waaaaaaaaaaay too satly. The macaroni had a gravy surprise I wasn't too excited about. But the yams and kool-aid was the best. I'm super grateful for the experience. The Bible at the register warmed my soul. I don't know if I will go back. What's not for me maybe for you.... I do believe it's worth the try.
BTW my order was oxtail plate, fried oxtail, oxtail chili cheese fries and spaghetti.
My daughter loved the spaghetti.
The food is good and I like the atmosphere. I had the fried chicken burrito and the kool aid. Great quality of food but a little pricey. I'll be back though.
My husband and I went here yesterday. We ordered the Hot Cheeto burrito, fried shrimp tacos, and the oxtail Mac n cheese plus 2 kool-aids. Disgusting. My hot Cheeto burrito was a deep fried filled tortilla with rice. Hot mess. No flavor. $24 for some minute rice y’all. Our tacos were burnt, tasted like fish. Mac n cheese was good but that’s the only thing we ate which was not enough. $70 for food that went to the trash. And we had to wait an hour. I would never recommend, take your stomach and money elsewhere.
Hi friend’s & family
This was definitely delicious
It was a family feeling
I can say Mr. Tastebudz food really really has a great unique taste to it
I ordered the oxtail Soul food plate & the other plate was a corner Asada flaming, hot burrito. It was huge. Let me show u some pictures
It was my first time being there & I will be back
My grandpa loves food but can’t work his phone so these are his words. “This is the worst place to get soul food because there’s no soul in the food. The cook don’t got no soul, and the food wasn’t even all the way cooked. They shake the spoon on you. Wasn’t even two bites of macaroni and cheese and they charge you $40 dollars for $10 worth of food.” -Eddie
The first time I tried Mr. tastebudz, I ordered the seafood gumbo which only had one shrimp and no crab in it 🚩 & A side of rice and gravy, which is tiny they also forgot to put it in my bag, so I had to come back for it. Things happen I was thinking, maybe it was the last of the gumbo or something like that so I decided to give him another try today . I ordered one steak and cheese egg roll, ($5) and a steak taco ($2) . My total came out to $13 !! Call me petty but please, sir, make it make sense taxing that much is crazy to me .. I simply asked for my money back, and I will not return .
The customer service was a 10/10. The owner and staff was very nice. The prices are a bit expensive. I bought the fish soul bowl and paid $37. I only received 1 piece of fish in this bowl. The fish looked like a piece of pork chop. The batter took away from actually being able to enjoy the fish. The batter was too thick. The food was salty. I bought the banana pudding. It was ok. It comes in very small cups. The sweet potatoes were not homemade. They came out of a can. The owner could at least make the cups a little bigger. I give it a 4 out of 10.
I was super excited to try this place, but unfortunately was let down.. I'm not going to bash him or be negative. Food is very overpriced i will say that. Maybe I didn't order the right thing. In my personal opinion I think he specializes in seafood. The customer service was good. The atmosphere is alright, he doesn't have many tables or chairs. It's also a small space, rather just take it home and eat it.
The food was overpriced and gross. I would never visit this establishment again. Please be sure that you order in small quantities before you place a big order you will be disappointed. The owner was present and bragging on the dishes so I thought I was in good hands, but I was badly mistaken. I spent $52 on a gumbo burrito thumbs down all the way and the chicken wings and cheese fries. I ordered the chicken was Fried hard on the outside and undercooked on the inside. So fries were a little overcooked, but that was the best part of the meal. I am so disappointed I started to ask for a refund trying to A new business in your neighborhood. Please do your homework on this place.

I have to say this place is the real deal. Mr. Taste Budz is a very nice man who genuinely cares about his customers and community. No joke at all. I haven't had much on the menu but was I impressed. The Gumbo Burrito was very good, and so are the tacos. High quality meat, great flavor. Expensive? Yes. Some would say worth it. He is also always constantly evolving and getting better with his approach to menu items. Atmosphere is great for families, kids, and anyone else. Hot Cheeto ball is very very good. Seriously worth it. Recommend him and his team.
I went to this restaurant yesterday. I took a 5-year-old man who I take care of there and he got some food men black on business. The food was absolutely delicious unbelievable taste. You must visit this spot
