Unfortunately this place was recommended for good cheap eats, but it was $6 for a tiny mai d'oeuvre, downright cheap. All sandwiches are delicious but some are special.

This is everything a Vietnamese sandwich shop should be. #1 or #3, iced coffee, a produce box on top of a milk crate for seating, and soap operas on the tele. It's a food stall. Nothing more, nothing less. Walked out of there with 3 Bahn Mis, iced coffee, and a soda for $25 (not including tip; don't forget to tip). Actually, I walked out without anything because...soaps operas. Just left with a memory of what I wish I had at home

Got the number three on the menu with a coffee. Great sandwich, great coffee. The man that took my order was super friendly and the total price came out to $10.

Cheap but not great for vegans because they have no vegan mayo or pate or any sauce they can sub for either to give it flavor so it's just tofu and veggies in the dry bread.

*** CASH ONLY *** This is a no-frill sandwich place located inside the grocery shop. You can order and pick up the food in the back, but you have to pay with the gentleman in the front where the groceries are. The food is on par with the price, and when I had my sandwich the next day, it was still tasty! Since they make it right when you order, there is a bit of a wait. There is no place to sit and eat, but a order-and-go type of place. I will be visiting again next time I'm in Chinatown!

Great spot for quick and easy Banh Mi! I usually get two grilled chicken (usually $6 each) and a piece of fresh fruit for a full meal. The Vietnamese iced coffee is also killer.

Yummy authentic banh mi sandwiches made on the spot. Nothing fancy, just delicious. We ordered for the family visit on Chinese Lunar New Year and watched "year of the dragon" parade go past their front door! Will return.

Very good banh mi shop in the LA area - there's not many spots good in LA since you need to go to Westminster/OC. The bread is what makes a banh mi for me - it's not as fresh as the ones freshly baked from OC but it's still very good. I think the owner gets it from Westminster maybe. It's light, crispy and the filling is good. We always get the combination and I like pate with veggies. They are good even the next day since we always get 5-7 sandwiches every time we order. Knocked off one star since one of the banh mis from my order of 7 was missing and I paid for it. I should have checked before I drove off but it's ok. The owner said I could come back and ask for it in the future. I might if I'm in the area again but I live in the Bay Area. The inside is very small but that's expected in Chinatown- I love all of the Viet snacks and veggies out in front. There are small stools to wait for your order. They made the sandwiches fresh and sometimes there is a wait. There is metered parking in front.

Sandwiches were really good! Freshly made to order. Only downside is this is a cash only business. Hidden lil gem in Chinatown. We went back to back days! Stopped by to grab some Sandwiches before we headed out to the San Diego Zoo!

Five stars just for the name.

Best banh mi that I've had since Vietnam! Great coffee too. Hole in the wall experience sitting on plastic stools, feels like I'm back in Asia.

Heading to Universal Hollywood today. My Family was looking for a quick bite, so I did a quick google search and this place came up with good rating. I thought we were going to be in and out in minutes, but they were kind of slow. Only one person was making sandwiches. We waited nearly 30min to get our food. The food was pretty good, but the sandwich was rather small for it being $6-$7 each. Didn't really take pictures of the sandwiches, but I did of the menu. The shop is small and run down, but we were not there for the aesthetic. Advice: BRING CASH

So so good! Bread is fresh, soft and just melts in your mouth. Both the sandwich and coffee were both delicious. The gentleman that took my order was super friendly and loved the presentation.

There isn't better bang for your buck anywhere else in LA. Absolutely delicious bahn mi's for $5/6 bucks? I would go out of my way to drive to Chinatown for this place.
