One of my favorite Japanese restaurants in Los Angeles. Amazing sushi and all food is high-quality made from scratch and delicious. The service is excellent and it’s well priced given the quality of food atmosphere and service. I highly recommend.

Wonderful spot for a date night for real foodies. It's a casual setting with good service and elevated food that is delicious and also a bit surprising. We loved everything we ate and would definitely go back. It's a nice change of scenery from a traditional sushi restaurant.

Good and pricy in an industrial setting

Always a great experience from start to finish here. Great variety of options and you’re able to try a lot of different items. Lamb chop and chicken karaage are personal favorites

Always a great experience here, food is generally artfully presented, and the vibe, for whatever reason, always works for me.

They do a lot of collaborations here, so menus are ofter unique, and seatings often sold out. Not every collaboration menu may be to your taste so definitely keep an eye on their social media for what's coming up.

I wanted to have a good meal Reward yourself after passing the mid-term exam As a result, I have never eaten such a terrible roasted bird restaurant. Environment 80 points fine dining. Picture 2 is grilled beef tongue (medium tenderness + sour and salty sauce). Picture 3 Grilled Chicken Legs (Mediocre and with the same sauce as beef tongue) The first time I ate roasted bird was the sour sauce! ! ! It tastes much worse than New York and other places! Figure 4 Sea urchin + scallop + tuna is okay Picture 5: The king salmon not good. It feels like the salmon from a takeaway shop. The hand roll is like the hand roll sold by 7-11 or FamilyMart.

I had high expectations as I’ve heard many rave reviews… but left feeling disappointed.

Let’s start with the positives. My cocktail was the best thing about the meal, really delightfully surprised. All the staff at the restaurant were friendly, professinal and hospitable. They made sure we’re ok every step of the meal. Environment was somewhat cozy.

Skewers- we tried 3 and were all pretty meh. All I could taste was the burnt parts, the ribeye was over cooked and hard to chew, texture and taste were not complimentary to the ingredients. The sauce was way too salty, no sweetness to it at all.

Nigiris were OK, just that, just OK. Not particularly fresh, nothing outstanding.

All the other dishes were pretty one-dimensional in taste, and not nicely presented, something I would expect in Japanese cuisine at this price point. Mediocre tastes…. not inedible… but pretty underwhelming, not many layers or balance to the taste experience. The mussels in our cream udon had bitter juice oozing out and was quite off putting.

If this was a 50 dollars/ per head meal, sure, I won’t be too picky, but this was not a cheap meal.

Sad to say I will not be returning…

The experience was VERY UNDERWHELMING. We paid hundreds of dollars for what should have been a $50 sushi night. The portions were too small for the price and we left still hungry…hungry for more food and for a better experience. A refund of some sort would be nice, but not expected based on the unresponsiveness of the manager.

Every dish was delicious, unique, and fun. Service was great. Dried persimmons were hanging behind the bar, each one named for its unique personality. There were killer whale novelty mugs (complimentary). Would be my go to spot for nice dinner out if I lived in LA. 10/10

Was expecting better. There were some very odd flavor combinations and choices. The sushi wasn't that bad, but it often had overpowering sauces with it. The menu needs some work.

Had a fantastic dinner at n/soto this past Friday night. We arrived a bit early for our reservation hoping to have a drink, but unfortunately the bar was full. We still were able to order cocktails which were amazing. I had what was essentially their take on an Old Fashioned. It was absolutely delicious and had a very classy feel to it (down to the crystal clear ice cube). Our server was extremely helpful guiding us to order the proper amount of food and the anticipation for each item coming out was strong. We had some oysters with caviar which were great but could be overpowering to some. The scallop dish was amazing as were the prawns. The sashimi was perfect and so were the rest of our dishes. We'll definitely return again soon.

Absolutely loved this place. We ate at the bar and the bartender was amazing. He was friendly, helpful and made sure we ordered exactly the right amount of food. His cocktails were perfect, like a wizard dishing out magic (I had a second cocktail which I rarely do ☺️). The food was equally good. The home made tofu melted in your mouth. The tuna, uni appetizer was delicate with a dash of wasabi. The heirloom tomato salad was fresh, succulent, and delicious. ? The jidori chicken was so flavorful. Overall it was a perfect meal. Thank you

N/Soto has a ton of really experimental sushi which is exactly what I was looking for. Their raw section had some good and some bad, like the scallop which was too intense on overpowering.

Their drinks were great and they had a lot of interesting cooked items with some great quality fish. Overall I really enjoyed the food and experience, but there were a few misses for our group.

I wouldn't let that deter you. It is definitely worth trying out.
