Food did not taste bad but horribly over priced to be that mediocre. The place was empty but they still made me move tables because some of them are 3+ more. The entire hour I was there, only 3 other parties came/went. Then to top it off, 18% gratuity is included in the check for even parties of one and they don't say that anywhere or warn you, so if you aren't paying attention you end up leaving a 50% tip. Scammy.

Many issues leading to a 1 star evaluation:

Service is extremely slow. Not only did management not put enough time workers at the bar area, doesn’t seem like they were focusing on the orders. Even worse, two people who arrived after I did got their order sooner than I did - and my dish was a small/simple one. Even the draft beer I ordered never came out while the others’ cocktails came out before my beer. For 1 draft beer and a small menu, I waited about 35 mins for it.

I also asked for my bill right away so I can pay it first so I can leave to catch my flight. That also never happened. They handed me the bill and I left my card for them to handle it. They didn’t handle it until the very end of my very late meal, and took another 10 mins of me repeatedly asking to close my bill.

In addition, they’re not focused so they suddenly added another person’s order onto my bill and got defensive that I wasn’t the one who ordered it. Again, this wouldn’t have been an issue if they just closed my bill when I asked.

Finally, this place adds a 18% service charge (which their service absolutely didn’t meet) and the only warning is that extremely tiny font at the very bottom of the menu. Not to mention, they also add a tip section on the bill to possibly double dip if the customer didn’t check carefully.

Overall, food was mediocre at best, service was not only slow, but also incompetent. Don’t go here if you’re expecting to make your flight since you’ll need at least 1 hour to just deal with the chaos and slow service.

The food was great. The flat steak was prepared correctly and was flavorful. Of all the sit down and be served places, this is the best. They also brew their own tea

Their chicken biscuit sandwich is awful. Tasteless and falls to pieces when you bite into it. The Mimosa was fine, but not for $21. Just paid $56 for mediocre service, awful food and they included an auto 18% gratuity.

Absolute trash. Skip at all costs.

I ordered a margarita and he gave me some “special” margarita that was on the menu. When I asked why it was pink he basically laughed at me and told me because of the hibiscus syrup. I told him I didn’t ask for that and then he said to try it and if I don’t like it, he will make me a different one. Then we ordered a salad with no chicken, and it came with chicken. I didn’t drink my margarita and ordered a glass of wine instead. I asked for water THREE TIMES before I got it. (It wasn’t busy. There are 6 people sitting here). Come to find out, they automatically add an 18% tip. When I asked the bartender about it, he got defensive and said they do it “in all of LA”. I told him that was interesting because I am here 1-2 times per month for work and have never seen it and will have to watch out for it. Will not be returning. Do not recommend.

You know a spot is good when you're still thinking about what you had days later. I do my best to avoid long stints in the airport so when I was forced to spend more time in LAX than I wanted, looking for something to eat became a necessity. Airport options are always bleak with the standard mix of fast food. Native offered a unique enough menu that I walked from two terminals away to try it. I saw another review about the green curry corn chowder and was sold and not disappointed. I want that dish always. The flavors pair together so well that any curry fan will immediately find their taste buds at home.

The attentiveness and kindness of the staff was great as well – more than deserving of the standard 18% service charge.

Great service even better conversation very spiritual conversation and so many synchronicities with a complete stranger! It was so amazing! Me being from Alabama and this person all the way from Long Island, NY, yet it was like we had known each other our whole lives. Also it was the 2nd game of the world series Yankees vs the dodgers, and LA won! Super high energy, and Daniel I think was the bartender? Outgoing small smiley Asian dude? Really knowledgeable and fast, friendly and efficient! All good for me. Wish I could connect with the complete stranger again. Too bad I don't know how :( only got his first name Scott :)

The glass arrived dirty, we asked them to change it and they brought one just as dirty. The cutlery had traces of cilantro and dirt stains. Rude staff. Better buy some chips and a soda. Ugly, expensive and dirty.

Service was good and food reasonable for an airport. However it was $100 for 2 breakfasts and coffee so somewhat expensive. Also they add on 18% automatically.
