Overall very good. Very noisy. The steak was not as good as the price would have predicted.

The MOST amazing ribeye and tomahawk steak we've ever had. Absolutely cooked to perfection! We're considering taking a flight from NC to LA in the future just for the food at Nick & Stef's. It would be totally worth it! Thank you to the wait staff and Chef's!

I went to Nick & Stef's for a business meeting lunch. I called in advance to confirm we could be at our table for an extended period of time and they said no problem as our reservation was later and the restaurant would not be very busy. We arrived on time and waited for a table. We were seated in the back corner which was great for us. The first waiter came over to say hello but then never came back to the table. A different waiter came to take our drink order and someone else delivered it. We waited quite a while and no one came to take our food order. We caught a manager walking by and he came back to take our order. A different person delivered our food but then no on came back to check on us or refill beverages. We pulled out our computers and began working as planned and caught someone to ask for coffee. No one came back with coffee. Then as all the other tables were cleared and cleaned, we were asked to leave. I indicated I had called ahead and was told we could stay an extended time to work. The waiter said he was not aware and they had to clean our table. I asked if we could get the coffee we ordered to go and he said well I can go get it but you weren't charged for it. The whole experience was horrible and I felt we were treated very rudely. I will also add that the customer with me was a black man and I couldn't help but feel that the poor service was possibly racial. Additionally, I parked in the lot across the street in error and that cost me $52.50 to park. I won't be back...

I've been to Nick and Stef's before in a business dinner so I decide to take my wife here for our 3 year anniversary. I'll cut to the chase- extremely disappointed. Appetizers were spot on and delicious. My wife ordered a petite fillet well done and she was very happy with hers. I ordered a Tasmania 12oz Mew York strip. The mean was tasty but it might as well have been a rib eye because of the fat content, the amount of connective tissue was too much. The maitre d came by asking about our food and I complained - his response “yea with meat it's hit or miss” wrong answer for a premium steakhouse... We had an early dinner so the restaurant was. It busy leaving the waiters and maitre d to have conversation about their troubles by our table with one of them parking his behind two feet from my table- dare I say face... We were comped two desserts but came away dissatisfied and without a desire to come back.

Consistently good food and service. This place has been my “Cheers” for decades. Thanks Marlin for making us feel at home!

All the staff was so kind and had a ton of knowledge. The ambiance was calm and collected. Food and drinks were amazing.

This is our go-to restaurant when we are in downtown LA before a show or a concert. We have tried many of the restaurants in the surrounding area and after several underwhelming yet expensive meals, we decided that from now on, we would always go back to Nick and Stef's, where we know we won't be disappointed. It's pricey, but the food is always perfectly seasoned and prepared. The wait staff are all superb; knowledgeable, and gracious. Reading some of the reviews makes me laugh because it just goes to show that people will complain about anything and everything these days. After dozens of visits, I have yet to be served what I consider to be a tough or fatty piece of meat, dry baked potato, and cold sides. In fact, I'm willing to bet that these issues would have been easily resolved if they had been brought to the attention of the gracious wait staff. We were a party of 4 who enjoyed the tomahawk, (which could easily feed 4 large eaters on its own), a perfectly cooked medium rare dry aged New York steak, the barramundi special, and side dishes of mushrooms, fries, au gratin potatoes, and green beans. Accompany that with a bottle of Champagne and a bottle of Bordeaux, and you have 4 satisfied customers. The cheese popovers are a must-try We will be back next month for another fantastic meal.

Decided to try Nick and Steff's based on reviews. Shared a few steaks with friends, so we could try a few different types. The real bummer was the Australian Waygu. It had huge chunks of fat. Not marbling, but about 30 percent of the steak was fat. For the price, I expected better

The main course steak was luke warm. The baked potato was dry even with the fully loaded toppings. We liked the brightness snd flavor of the creamed spinach. Service was decent and the environment was relatively quiet except for the large party next door.

The steak was great. They cook it slightly less than the recommended temp and it came out fantastic. I also had an old fashioned and it was probably the best one I've ever had.

Really enjoyed our service. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the wine selections. Dry aged steaks were excellent and we really enjoyed the meal. Very much recommend a visit.

Opentable Diner

This place lacks character. The restaurant feels like an Ikea cafeteria with booths and hospital lighting. The food was fine, but when you're pricing yourself at $90 per steak you better have something nice to offer, not just pan searing meat and putting out bread. Overall, really underwhelming. Will probably never go again.

My only complaint is the time it takes to get the check and processing it. Especially during the lunch hour. I had to wait ten minutes to find our server to ask for the check. Then once I asked for it, it took a few for him to come back to get it. Then it took another 5-7 minutes to bring it back for me to sign it. I was crunched for time and almost late to a meeting back at the office.

One of my favorite watering holes in DTLA. Fantastic food, excellent staff, and premium food. Truly memorable and outstanding!!!
