Such a gem of Japanese bakery and cafe hidden inside a Japanese hotel. Each bun in this bakery are soft and yummy. Not only they are very authentic Japanese bakery flavors, they also have very authentic Japanese drinks too, their matcha series had lots of unique flavor combination. Their bakery takeaway box also really cute. The tuna bun with LA sign very unique to international visitors. This bun also have crunchy top component. Just yummy to enjoy. Kobo Kuma is one of my favourite too, design of this bun are unique to each pieces super cute. This is a soft custard bun, very yummy. This cafe also sell hojicha, which is very hard to find in USA overall. Their speciality drinks is sweet, bit not too sweet. Love the matcha cold brew too. Will certainly come back to try taro latte, matcha rose latte, lavender latte next time. Staff are very friendly. Limited seating inside. No outdoor seating. If you love Japanese bun and drinks, strongly recommend to try this cafe, which located in the city area, little Tokyo area, easy accessible by train.
The banana creme matcha here is phenomenal! Staff is super friendly too. Super hard to find parking though.
Great Japanese cafe inside Miyako Hotel! Pastries were fresh and heated up for us, the sea salt matcha coffee was also really great. They have WiFi and restroom for customers, great WFH/study spot
An awesome place to get a drink! So far, I have tried the sea salt matcha cold brew (100/10), the banana matcha (6/10), their regular matcha (9/10), regular iced Americano (7/10), and a couple of their pastry items like the cookie butter bread (8/10), matcha sunrise (9/10), French toast (8/10) and their croque monsieur (8/10). Service is always great. I just wish they would actually heat up the pastries well enough and have a larger drink size than a 16oz. Also, parking is not highly available other than valet at the hotel or the parking structure that's nearby. I don't recall the rates at the moment. Overall, a highly recommended spot.
Nothing special, no verity for drinks and bread! Won’t go again.
Today I try a taro late, macha sea salt cold Brew and chocolate emoji.
This is the finest bakery I've ever visited. Baked goods were spectacular: fresh, and delicious. The matchas were out of this world. Prices were affordable and staff was friendly and helpful. This is worth a visit, it will be our first stop when we get back to L.A.
The most delicious matcha I’ve ever gotten! 🍌 🍵
I got a banana cream matcha and my taste buds were in absolute shock from the flavor of both the banana cream and the matcha itself. Both were so special, I have no idea what they add to it to make it so perfect!
The pastry was also really good, the bread wasn’t sweet, but the red bean paste was, so it’s a perfect combo.
The cafe is at the entrance of a hotel and there was a sign of no public restroom.
Tasty and lovely morning we had.

We were standing in line in the cafe before the place closed and the staff told us right before we ordered that they were closed. There were three groups waiting in line and although I understand they were busy I felt the way the employee cut us off was really rude. If they didn’t want to serve us they should’ve stopped the line before we entered the premises.

Was very excited to try their banana matcha latte but the taste was meh. The banana tasted artificial and you barely tasted the matcha. If you like sweet then this is it but as an avid matcha lover this was probably one of my least favorite.

The line was out the door and now I understand why. The line moves quickly but unfortunately you most likely won’t be able to enjoy it there due to lack of seating. The banana crème matcha was delicious. 2 out of the 3 pastries we got to try were amazing and the 2 were freshly baked. They had a vanilla and chocolate custard that just melts in your mouth with the warm soft bread. The butter and salt croissant unfortunately wasn’t fresh.
