I think this might be hit or miss for people, but definitely worth a try. I am addicted. Tried their pastrami burrito as well but the original okidog is what keeps bringing me back.
Aside from the less-than-ideal neighborhood for dining, everything was truly wonderful! I indulged in two delicious hot dogs piled high with cheese, pastrami (absolutely delicious!), onions, mustard, and chili, accompanied by some crispy French fries. All that goodness was just $21, including all the sauces and chili. The bun’s texture, along with those amazing toppings, created a delightfully soft and gooey experience. Yum! I can’t wait to go back!
An Oki dog still taste the same as they did back in the eighties when they were $2.25. I lived about 10-15 minutes away and would come by once or twice a week. Now I'm over an hour and three freeways away from that great taste, flavor and experience of an LA staple. More than worth the drive. Get you one and add fries, you won't be sorry.
