Great place great people great food!
We ventured to Olocuilta for dinner before a show at the Wiltern. What a wonderful gem of a place this is! You almost wouldn't think so from the vantage point on the street. Tucked away on 6th street between many other small businesses, we entered through the front door to find several tables and a window toward the back where we picked up our menus. For folks whose familiarity with south-of-the-border food is typically Mexican, this is a lovely venture into similar yet interestingly distinctly flavored fare. As two of our party of four were pescatarians, we asked our server for advice on options – and were pleased to learn of several interesting meals. I had a fish fillet meal – served with rice and beans – just wonderful. My wife had the pupusa with shrimp, which was complemented by the house sauce. Our friends selected the house special, a larger chicken dish than anticipated. This is homemade food here. Pupusas are made on the spot. The black bean accompaniment has an exquisite flavor. Some might refer to this type of restaurant as a hole-in-the-wall. It is genuinely a fantastic bargain with scrumptious meals. This is an excellent option for concertgoers to the Wiltern theater for dining before your show. The restaurant is extremely reasonably priced, the food is splendid, and you won’t be waiting as long for food and service as in other larger restaurants. We left extremely satisfied and were glad to have stumbled upon Olocuilta.
In addition to having great tacos this place is absolutely pristine.I wandered in starving, $4 and 5 minutes later was seated in front of two freshly made tacos.
Sopa with succulent juicy, gallina asada on the side. Highly recommend!

Pupusass riquisimasssss...
Great food, very delicious and authentic in a very nice place, good prices too, that's the place you want to go when you're in the neighborhood
Must say that although this place is a whole in the wall it has been by far the most authentic food I’ve tried around. You will not be disappointed hands down.

I got excited, so I dug in before I could take pictures of the dishes as presented. I got to this Salvi restaurant and got a pupusa revuelta, an horchata, and the bistec encebollado, which I don't think was on their menu. I'm grateful they were able to make it for me, because the sauce on the bistec was soooo good. Will definitely come back to try their other dishes.
Warm friendly staff, delicious reasonably priced food, zero complaints

The food is terrible, I will never return here and the service is bad.
