Came in as a party of four with a toddler. It was empty for a Saturday around sunset ?. The staff was friendly enough rather quiet but, they were quick.Menu was decently priced nothing too crazy and many options. The black ? ramen ? was delicious though!Seems to be run by a husband and wife duo.I would go back again if my travels take me there again. We got 4 or 5 different types of sushi, two appetizers and 4 soups and a few other items and spent around $100Well priced.

This is not kid-friendly restaurant that I've ever been. We have 2 kids 1&3 years old. When we were there no customer dine in just 1 waiter he never gave us smile and did pay attention very much. It felt like he didn't wants to serve us. The foods were ok but after we checked and payed for foods. He came and say "you need to watch you kids they make a mess that not ok" and he made face like he upset and shook his head. It embarrassed me because I never been in restaurant that tell me what I nee to do with my kids, they were good sets still on their chair just dropped some rice on the floor and made noise some time. And we were end up by help him cleaned up the floor and table after we paid for foods and some tips. Think positive he might work hard and alone he doesn't have time to clean a mess or he never has kid.

A yummy quick bite of authentic Japanese ? ramen! Service was fast and polite and the bowl of broth and springy noodles satisfying all for under $20 plus tip.

Good food and convenient location, although the service was a bit slow. However, the waiters and waitresses were extremely kind :)

The sushi was good. The vegetable ramen broth was waaaay off. Didn’t even eat it. I’ve had a ton of ramen all over, including Tokyo, and never had a ramen broth taste like that before. Too much garlic and tasteless on the other flavor notes.

Very good Japanese American food. Place is small but comfortable. I liked here a lot. The pork katsu was great along with the curry. Not the same as Momma but close. I will be back. I want to try the entire menu. Staff is friendly and professional. Price is reasonable for Westwood.

Tan tan tonkotsu recommended by the owner was great. Firm noodles great broth, super flavor and right amount of food. Very satisfied! Hand roll was not my fav but ramen was worth it!

I have been coming here at least once a week for the past few months. I have never had any issues with the food or the service until today when I noticed flies in the soy sauce bottles. I told the lady who was serving us and she immediately denied there were flies in the bottle even though I showed her one of the flies that I had poured out into the dish I was using. Okay, no big deal it was the first time this ever happened. She got another bottle for the table and I got through 1 1/2 egg rolls and noticed there was another bug but on my actual food this time. I told her there was another bug on my food and she got extremely defensive and rude and tried to tell me that it was not a bug, that it was part of my food. I had to point out the fact that it had legs and wings and that it was definitely a bug. She was extremely rude and grabbed the plate out of my hands and took it back to the kitchen. I will never eat here again and I will continue to discourage anyone to eat here.

It was hot but the noodles weren't really as good as I hoped. Great customer service so I might try again.

Went here and dined inside with some work associates. We all had the yakisoba dishes, each with different protein. I asked for hot spicy level, they each had asked for mild spice. For me, the meal was delicious and the spiciness was on point. For the others though, mild was too hot for them. Just be aware of your palate for spiciness when ordering. I'm planning on going again in the near future.

I enjoy their chicken ramen selections. Spicy tan tan ramen and spicy black ramen are delicious! Sushi is good as well, especially for the price. Highly recommend giving Onkei a try if in Westwood!

Ordered chicken tonkatsu. It was more like a thin watery soup than a sauce or gravy. I wouldn’t order it again.
