The shrimp and grits breakfast meal at Openaire is one of my new favorite breakfast meals!
The food was excellent! All of us enjoyed our meals. Because of all the glass, the sound echoes and it was quite noisy.
We had a lovely birthday brunch. Everyone at the restaurant was kind, smiling and helpful. Those having bottomless mimosas had drinks that were constantly topped off. We left smiling and feeling celebrated.
One of the most flavorful hollandaise sauces I've had in a while. Huevos rancheros also had a welcome twist with black beans added. Lox bagel plate is filled to the brim with fresh goodness. I haven't had a dish here I didn't like! Come before 11 if you want a quiet breakfast. The loud brunch parties start arriving around then :)
What a great experience! Excellent and friendly service. The deep-fried squash blossoms with basil pesto were excellent, as well as the fresh and zingy cucumber salad. However, the roasted duck kimchi rice was the big star; so complex and hugely gratifying; I'm still thinking about it!
Was overall a good experience. Their wagyu beef was nothing special (a bit tough), but the rest of the food just was fine. Service was pretty slow for us though (but friendly). As it is a semi-open roof experience expect the occasional insect to fly by.
It was an exceptional experience, filled with magic and great food. The music was refreshing, like the drinks. And the attentive staff made us feel beyond welcome. Also, the decorations were mesmerizing! Thank you openaire ❤️❤️
We went for the Halloween themed Gwishin dinner. The restaurant is beautiful and lives up to the social media posts. It was a prix fixe menu and although our 1st and 2nd courses were delicious, the desserts were disappointing. We took one bite and left the rest. The taste was very bland on one and so sour on the other and the crust was so hard, we could not get through it with our silverware and had to pick it up to bite it. The special drinks were just ok. The description touted the event with “close-up magic, mentalism and even levitation—all inspired by Korean folklore and ghost legends.” The menus had a one paragraph description of a Korean folklore story. There was an impressive magician who spent a few minutes at our table doing a coupe of card tricks. But nothing else. There weren't enough servers and ours forgot about us for a long time. We tried flagging her down at least three times for the next course but she was so busy she didn't see us. It was also very loud. It was hard to each other. Maybe because it's a glasshouse? Overall, it was just ok and we wouldn't go back.
The atmosphere was really nice. The people were very friendly very helpful. However I ordered shrimp and grits which is a southern dish and I was surprised with poached egg that fell out of the grits. Something that I wasn't ready for so I re-ordered something else a fried chicken sandwich that was really good and I had a mixed drink overall, I would give them three out of five
This experience was billed as a Korean Ghost Dinner on Halloween. We chose to do this instead of the many other options available in LA because it sounded great. The only thing they did was put black nests around plain candles on every table and when we asked about the ghost part, the waitress was embarrassed and just pointed to a single short paragraph printed in tiny letters at the bottom of the menu. A total bait and switch. On top of that, both the soup and trout were under seasoned and mediocre, and the desserts were literally inedible. Undercooked pastry and thick bland apples, melted tasteless ice cream. Service-wise, the valet was great and so was the table magician, and the waitresses were fine. But the bar and hostesses were inattentive and indifferent. Just no effort at all, for any day of the week, let alone something advertised as a special Halloween experience. I don't know what happened to Openaire, it used to be a great restaurant and used to host some really fun events. I would never recommend it now. Beautiful place, but the menu, food, and events need an overhaul.

We had a party of four to celebrate a wedding anniversary. We started with the ahi tuna tartare and the pumpkin cinnamon roll. The tartare ended up being the favorite item of the day. Our party of four ordered the huevos rancheros, hanger steak and eggs, French dip sandwich, and soft omelet. We also shared the corn flake crusted French toast. The soft omelet and accompanying potatoes were underwhelming and tasteless. Everything else was very good. Service was excellent! Only downside was sitting outside near the plants, we had a few persistent bugs flying around. Will definitely wait for a seat indoors next time.
Overall experiencing this restaurant was a 10/10. Food was great, the view was beautiful BUT the service could've been better. I hardly got checked on. My waiter left while I needed a couple of things. I asked twice for a high chair. I get he couldve been busy but there was about 6 people in total there. Didn't feel prioritized is all.
The food and service here are excellent and the ambiance of a greenhouse is unique and wonderful for brunch/linch, or a nice venting with dinner.
It is a vety aesthetic option but the food is okay. The flavor profile is very typical American.
There is simply no justification for less than 5 stars, i.e. I do not understand the overall ratings here. The restaurant is beautiful, a bit loud as the glass walls and concrete floors do not really absorb and rather echo the sounds. All the staff but with special mention to Lisa K, who waited our table, was enormously nice. Key, however, was unquestionably the delicious food which not only tasted wonderful, had a carefully balanced composition of flavors and textures, but was also presented optically in very beautiful set-ups. Definitely, the dishes are created by masters. Parking in the neighborhood is virtually impossible, but the LINA hotel, which Openair is embedded in, provides valet for 14$.
