I drive past Outdoor Grill every day on the way to work. Each morning I wonder, is this the day I’ll finally try it? Is Outdoor Grill the hidden gem of Culver City? Well, I tried it. It was worse than I could’ve ever imagined… and yes, it did give me food poisoning. Not the fake kind like “ew I feel gross” the kind where you think you’re going to die for like 15 minutes and then you remember what you ate earlier in the day. You’re better off dining at the car wash next door, windows down & mouth opened… then you won’t be surprised when it tastes like soap.

Great service!
Ordered online- tri tip rare and dark meat chicken. What we got was well done (dead) tri tip and white meat chicken, also very overcooked. Avoid this place. Terrible

Hard to park
Nostalgia, Outdoor Grill is a great spot to take the parents, the girlfriend, the kids, or on a solo mission. It sits at an intersection of Culver City that was clearly designed by a nutcase city planner. Roads are coming and going in all directions. The noisy carwash just below adds to the chaos, yet Outdoor Grill survives the mayhem. The smell of BBQ satiates your taste buds once you hit the parking lot, and after ordering your food, making your way to the upstairs deck overlooking the carwash, adds to anticipation. The wait is just long enough to appreciate when you hear your name on the speaker to pick up your feast. The tri-tip and pork sandwiches are the meats to pick. The chicken tastes the same today as it did 35 years ago, dry and stringy, but fear not, the house made BBQ is the key to unlocking the flavor. Get extra BBQ sauce, hell buy a bottle. The Mac and Cheese hits, and the fries and baked beans also dont disappoint. To go orders also work on the way to Venice Beach...

We have been coming here since the past several months. Really hard to find good quality veg taco. But this place rocks. We got the best taco we have had since a long time. So glad to find a great Mexico restaurant offering veg options.

December 27, 2024, marked the last day I will order from or carry out from this restaurant. I do not understand how your employees thinks it is okay to send out burnt and dried out food to customers that order through the food delivery apps. When I do this I expect the same quality as if I was ordering for pickup. When I brought my order to the to location and showed them what they sent to me, I was met with indifference. I wasn't asking for a refund, but an apology for the poor quality of food I received.

Great burgers and Mac and cheese
I spent $80 on two orders of baby back ribs. The ribs were missing the usual bbq sauce and the side dishes were VERY SMALL!!! Ordered baked beans and fries which I paid an extra $20 for and barely had any food. I even had to ask for ketchup. The online menu prices need to be updated. I am a thirty year loyal customer and I am very dissatisfied with pricing and the shrinkonomics practices.
