This place is always my go-to when I visit LA. One of the cashiers, John is super friendly, helpful, quick, and knowledgeable. He honestly makes my day when he is working there. I like to get the black truffle pasta and it's AMAZING. Even if you don't like mushrooms - there aren't chunks of mushrooms in there, just grated black truffles on top and it adds to the umami flavor so well. Truffle tagliatelle are very nice.
It's self-service, you come to them, order, wait for your food. There are plenty of tables and chairs in that part of the Farmers Market so that there is always room even when it is crowded. Among other things, they have a metal escajg, which is a big plus for me.

A booth in the Farmers Market. The meatballs and sauce were delicious. The cacio e pepe noodles were overcooked and the sauce really bland and tasteless. Same for the garlic bread - just bland.
