I love this family! I've been purchasing from them since they were Star Chicken in the HHP. Super friendly!! I personally love the chicken salad with grapes. My brother loves the curry chicken salad and we both lose it over the spinach and feta pasta. Not to mention all the other wonderful goodies. Reasonably priced and good choices.

I work at Howard Hughes and discovered this little shop at the bottom floor of the Pepperdine building. Good place for a quick stop to get some snacks and drinks. They also have a selection of ready made pastas, salads, and sandwiches to choose from. The people that work there are also really nice.

I know Yelp wants long reviews but I just bought a milk from there and it was completely soured. Like it's yogurt. DISGUSTING.

Run by the nicest people in the world ... in the world, I tell ya! If you work in the 6100 Center Drive building or any of the office buildings in the Howard Hughes complex with Sony, Kerlan Jobe, Pepperdine, Computer Associates, or others then you probably already know about uber-tiny Corner Cafe on the 1st floor of the Pepperdine University building. Or you may not ... because it is really tiny and literally stuck "in" a corner on the first floor. Inside is a small shop filled with premade foods, snacks, drinks, and treats. It's all geared for the students of the university or working professionals in the building. When you are just too lazy or busy to run across the street for a full meal, Corner Cafe is a great quick alternative. * Open Mon - Fri 11a - 9p (except during Pepperdine holidays) * Features fresh made Wraps and Salads from Star Chicken across the street * A variety of Sandwiches, Pastas, & such from other vendors is available, too * Sodas, Teas, Juices, Energy Drinks, and other beverages are the main reason I go * Plenty of snack foods like Candy Bars, Gum, Energy Bars, Nuts, etc. The best part of Corner Cafe is the friendly owner and her team that works the later hours. Friendliness and a sincere desire to help people is a true treasure. Tell her what you want and she just might get it for you next week. Forgot your money? She'll take your name and you can pay her next time. Think about that... seriously amazing customer service. Again, this is a tiny store that really just serves those working in the area or visiting the building. Not a place to travel out of your way for at all, however, definitely one to jump in the elevator and head down for a convenient quick lunch/snack break. Best of all, it's run by the nicest people in the world ... in the world, I tell ya!

I take classes in this building and can't tell you how grateful I am that theres a cafe in the lobby. They offer a good selection of pre-made sandwiches, wraps, salads, fruit, veggie trays, etc. They also sell Yoplait yogurts, string cheese, cookies, nut bars, protein bars, candy, gum, cold drinks like iced tea, vitamin water, and other random things one might want before attending a three hour class. Best part about the cafe is that coffee is only $1 and they dont charge for hot water. They also accept credit and debit cards with no minimum.

This little place tucked in the corner of the Lobby at 6100 Center Dr., across from the Howard Hughes Center is very convenient and cheap! Especially for those of us that work in the building. Its like a mini 7-11. They sell mostly pre-packaged sandwiches, salads and pasta. They also have a large selection of Drinks, soda, coffee, water, v-8, chips, candy, etc. I have gotten a few things there and have never been overwhelmed with joy as to what I was shoveling into my gullet! The Cajun Chicken Pasta sounded good, so I tried it. Regretfully, it was horrible, unless you like your Cajun sauce to not taste Cajun (in the least). I will probably try this place again, but I will be very weary as to what I choose. If you work for Pepperdine at this Campus, you can go across the lobby to the Univ. Store and get a 20% discount on drinks and chips. I have asked the lady that sits at the cash register about a discount, and I get the "I don't think so" look.
