Pleasantly surprised! Came here for a DJ set hosted by some of my favorite podcasters. The DJ set was in their patio area where they have tables and chairs and shade. They also have a small records store that’s packed with all sorts of goodies (and canned beverages)! Really well organized too. Their $1 section had some great stuff. This is a small gem in the North of Los Angeles. This establishment has been here for years and was known as Cafe Nela. But now a totally different ambiance. Permeant Records Roadhouse has an indoor bar, record shop, and small stage for local and renowned artists from the music industry. I've been to Permanent Records Roadhouse a handful of times now—twice for Music Trivia (proud third place!), a few times for live shows, and just to browse the excellent record selection. Every visit has been a good time.

The music trivia nights are no joke—challenging in the best way and a ton of fun. The stage is small, but the sound quality is surprisingly solid for the space. It's intimate in a way that makes you feel close to the music.
