The best authentic Chinese restaurant in downtown LA. My only negative comment for this particular trip would be, 1) extremely loud live band, and 2) bruised pork was very cold inside... However, overall positive experience as usual.

The food and the location is great. However, the prices are too expensive for serving small plates. I am confused whether they are a 5-star or 4-star restaurant because the dishes are pretty expensive considering the amount of food per dish. The Xiao Long Bao is pretty dry too, knowing that it should be a soup dumpling. The servers were famtastic, always kept on checking our table. We got seated by the windows and it looks really great at night.

The female server was not very on point, but a fabulous male bartender took over for her and became our waiter and that changed everything. He was so on point! He checked on us, he made great drinks ( HH special, I think it was a Lychee martini?, it had the Lychee Gel cube in it and it was so good. )Ordered 4 between me and my friend. lol.
