Pizza on Friday afternoons in a church parking lot, order by phone (not text), cash or I think it was Zelle? Oddly it all works, the ovens are hot, and service is quick. Whole pies only that are pretty solid, too.

Petramale Pizza is a hidden gem in LA! So happy to have heard about this spot because Steve's pizza is not only the tastiest I've had in LA so far, but the man himself is a joy to be around. I'd highly recommend the Margaroni.
Petramale pops up in a church parking lot every Friday which also makes for a fun vibe, especially in the late afternoons/evenings. It is a must try for any Angeleno and I can't wait to return!

1. When we arrived staff were chasing a guy down to give back his accidental big tip.
2. When we left the boss was giving out free cannolis.
Solid crust. Solid toppings. And really well priced.
What an absolutely fun neighborhood place to go. The pizza is great and the owners walk around giving free samples to the kids.

Steve the owner is a great guy so full of life and a smile that shines as bright as the sun. He's friendly and full of joy and you will be too. They only sell full pies that are extra large in size. I got the pepperoni pizza with sausage and it was amazing and it cost me $35 and worth it. I also got one of his meatballs and were so full of flavor and the marinara sauce was so fresh and tasty. He only serves on Friday's from 12pm to 7pm in the parking lot of a local church. This will not be the last time I go there! ;)

Petramale Pizza is hands-down one of our favorite pizza spots! The New York New York and The Magheroni are absolute standouts — packed with flavor, made with quality ingredients, and always cooked to perfection. The crust is everything you want it to be: crisp, chewy, and just the right amount of char. Service is fast, the pizza is consistently delicious, and the whole experience keeps us coming back. Highly recommend!

Unequivocally the best slice in LA and would be in my top three anywhere, including NYC. I’ve been looking for this since moving here from Manhattan three years ago and have tried every pie on every list; it’s not even close. Thin, crispy, airy, charred, flopless. Just great.

If you’re on the Westside and craving exceptional pizza, look no further. This spot delivers a perfect balance of crispy crust, rich sauce, and premium toppings. Every bite reflects quality and attention to detail. The service is prompt, the atmosphere is welcoming, and consistency is unmatched. Whether you’re dining in or taking out, this is hands down the best pizza experience on the Westside.

We have been customers since the days of Beethoven Market, before they were evicted by the new owner. Best pizza ever and a Friday tradition for our family! Refreshing to have a food place that is not yet another Instagram scene but has actually good pizza.

You walk in and are greeted by a super friendly atmosphere and two giant pizza ovens in a parking lot. Eying the pizzas, coming out, you know you've made the right choice. The crust is light and crispy with satisfying chew and great flavor. The sauce is well seasoned, the toppings are top notch. This place is legit.

I visited Petramale with my kids and cousin a month ago while we were in town for school break.
I was very sad to have had an experience there that made it clear the owner has something against minorities. It’s 2025 and there’s ZERO tolerance for this type of behavior in a city as progressive as Los Angeles.
My cousin was horrified for taking us there. She is a Venice native and has alerted the community to never support this business again. Sadly she heard from a few other customers who had similar experiences :(.
I’d describe the pizza as overly burnt. Not hot enough. Too heavy on the sauce. The cheese on top is some sort of brand that tastes quite stale and bitter? I’m not that picky when it comes to pizza but I’d say Pizza Hut is significantly better.

Discovered Petramale Pizza through a friend. We custom ordered our pizza and ate it in the lot. The pizza came out so hot and fresh.
The cheese was a little muted by the flavor of our toppings - jalapeños. I like spicy food and thought they put the perfect amount - although they were roasted by the oven.
The crust was a highlight for me - I think it had a great texture.
They're very friendly and accommodating. The pizza is made fresh to order, and you get to enjoy the sense of community as you watch and wait for your pizza.

I think the community that Steve has built is as amazing as his pizza! Can’t think of a better way to spend a Friday night. We moved and I miss it so much!
