Loved it and was so grateful to catch it before the full remodel!! Sadly, it looks like the remodel is hiding the majority of the character of the old 1920's bar and making it new and more commercial. I wish I had made it before half of the bar was torn out!!

I'm only rating this because it was the worst encounter I probably had in a while. I completely understand that we are in a middle of a pandemic but we still need to respect each other. I was visiting being a normal tourist until I had to use the bathroom. I literally went to multiple different places to use the bathroom. Either it was a stand in store or a small boutique they all said they didn't have a bathroom. I saw this restaurant and I just walked in because no one was in the front until the hostess stopped me and told me I had to wait outside due to someone else currently using the bathroom. That's fine then she asked me if I was sitting down I told her no I just need to use the restroom she told me unfortunately it's not a public restroom I said I can buy some thing it's not that big of a deal she continue to tell me no I cannot use the bathroom. At this point I am irritated I can't find another bathroom I'm literally about to urinate on myself. I saw the person coming from the back of the restaurant I assumed that was the person using the bathroom so I just went ahead in. She's yelling at me telling me to get out telling me I can't use the bathroom I just didn't care, I would think because we were both females she would understand. When I finished heading out there were words exchanged. I definitely felt like she could of let me slide or at least let me pay for something to use the bathroom. Just by the name of this place I don't think this is an appropriate restaurant and by her actions it gave the front in a bad representation.

Pretty good burger joint; however, the sweet potato steak fries were not so good. Steer clear of them. The rootbeer floats make up for everything.
I was once able to frequent the open mic on Tuesday and Wednesday nights in the back room of the Pig 'n' Whistle. The OGs and the needed-to-be-discovered talents of my City of Angels were all there together, and no one ever disappointed. I have never graced the stage myself, but the former bassist for Nirvana once attempted stand up comedy there to woo me. "Dude, just play me song, so I can dance next time," was all I could say. But, yes, he kissed me.

Great neighborhood draught house. It's nice to have this recent addition to the Richmond! Beer selection is always rotating and always good. The owners and staff are a pleasure to chat with as well.
