We had minced pork on rice, beef noodle soup, Dan Dan noodles, basil eggplant, pork belly bun, shaved ice and dou hua.
Overall, the food is pretty good. With some fine tunes, it can be closer to the yummy level of food in Taiwan, like some red beans in dessert are still hard, Dou Hua is too dry and needs some liquid or shaved ice to go with it, traditional shaved ice is too sweet though I like it much better than Korean style shaved ice, and brown rice is too hard. What a great surprise… at 3:00 Saturday afternoon and the place was hopping. Now I know why.. great food and pleasant service while ordering. Don’t just think about stopping by go for a lunch or dinner or mid food break
At this restaurant, you place your order at the counter and pay in advance, so it’s a good idea to have an idea of what you’d like before stepping up to order. The interior is fairly spacious with a nice sense of openness, making it comfortable to dine in without feeling crowded. Drinks such as water are self-serve, which adds to the casual atmosphere. Compared to a full-service restaurant, it feels much more approachable and easy to visit, even for someone dining alone.
