It’s not terrible… but it’s not amazing either. It’s kind of that middle-ground pizza experience like the cinematic equivalent of a movie you watch on a plane and say, “Yeah, that was fine,” and then never think about again.

The food’s solid. Classic pizza parlor stuff, no frills, no fireworks. Definitely not “best pizza in LA” territory, despite what the internet prophets may claim. But it gets the job done.

The place itself is small, so if you’re walking in, expect to wait a bit.

I’ve been coming to Pizza Buona since the old corner spot on Alvarado and Sunset, and I still miss that location. The new place is different, but having parking is a huge plus. The Margherita pizza is still my go-to—perfect crust and fresh basil. The meatball sub is exactly how I remember it, saucy and filling. And the lasagna still feels like the definition of comfort food. Glad they kept the classics right.

I’ve never been in person, but I order delivery a lot. It’s a good deal for an entire meal and the food is pretty good. I always get a pasta, with a side of minestrone and/or salad. The portions are generous and the price is fair. Usually I have leftovers, so it’s really 2 meals.

Wow, I just ordered from here for the first time today and the pasta was incredible. Huge portions too. Will be my new go-to spot for Italian.

Important Notice:

We were recently contacted by Pizza Buona company to provide service for their commercial refrigerator. Our technician promptly responded, arriving quickly for diagnostics and repairs. Upon arrival, he observed another technician from a different company also performing diagnostics on the unit.
Before starting the service, the owner was informed of a first visit and diagnostic fee, which he agreed to pay. After the service was completed, we discussed the repair costs and turnaround time. The owner initially agreed to the repair cost but appears to have continued checking with other companies to find a cheaper option.
The following day, we received a call informing us that the owner had hired another company to complete the repair and refused to pay our diagnostic fee, dismissing it as “measly money” that we were pursuing.
This behavior is highly unprofessional and amounts to scamming. Owners who understand how businesses operate but still refuse to pay for agreed-upon services undermine fair trade practices.
After numerous attempts to collect the money- this was the owners response!

Stay cautious when dealing with such individuals.

My favorite pizza in Los Angeles and I'm from NY. I've been dining in, getting take out and ordering delivery from here for 16 years since their old spot. I love the 4 cheese pizza. It's a family owned business and the staff is amazing. The pasta, salads, garlic knots and sandwiches are great too. They use the freshest and highest quality ingredients. I recommend everything on the menu. You really can't go wrong with this restaurant.
