Service was good, but food was a little hit and miss. The striped bass was the best dish and was outstanding. The meatball appetizers was too salty and just okay. We also had the squash blossom pizza and mushroom pizza. They were okay. The tricolor salad was weak. There was not much salami and too much dried oregano, some bites felt like you were eating a mouth full of dried oregano. Lastly, valet parking at $17 is over the top.
We hit terrible traffic and were running late but they were super accommodating! Food was amazing... we tried everything our server recommended. My only complaint was that the cocktails were pre-batched and there was nothing offered on the menu that wasn't really sweet. I just wanted a martini and couldn't get one... But other than that, it was a lovely dining experience!
We didn't like the pasta dishes that were burnt black on the too giving the tow dishes an overall burnt flavor. We asked our server if we could get some that were not burnt on the top and he replied that that's the way they are. He didn't try, but perhaps he has done this before. If that's the case, I don't really prefer their pasta at all. The pizza was very good and the appetizers were very good. I would steer away from any of their pasta dishes. The entrance to the outside seating being down an alley was also kind of strange. You had to weave between a line of cars that were being valet'd.
The chicken parm is INCREDIBLE. But really all the food is delicious. Butterscotch budino for dessert!
As usual, it was great. The bone marrow was fantastic, the flowers were great, and the pizza was very good. Apple crisp was a great desert. The cab wine hit this spot. Thanks for a wonderful birthday dinner for my wife
This restaurant hits on every level - such a fan. The ambience, the food and the Service are some of the best in Los Angeles. It's definitely one of my go two spots.
This was a special evening featuring the pasta dishes of Lidia Bastianich. The food was absolutely delicious: Dumplings and Cabbage, Istrian Style Pasutice, Lasagna Bolognese, etc. It is always a treat to sit at the kitchen bar and watch the magic happen.
Went to An Evening with Lidia Bastianich there. She basically just sat there, never thanked people for attending and do not speak. Food portions were good IF you were by yourself, marginal if a couple (which we were), Lasagna had burnt corners, service was inconsistent. Wrote a letter to Nancy Silverton, the proprietor about such
Pizzeria Mozza is awesome. So many beautiful food items to choose from. All delicious, healthy, and beautifully presented. You can't go wrong eating here. It is a regular on our dining options.
Liked the spinach and leek pizza. Too bad the chicken liver pate was taken off the menu. It was one of our favorite items to get here.

I've been coming to Mozza since they opened. Always loved their food, but this time it was a bit disappointing. We started with the pear and prosciutto , and stuffed squash blossoms appetizers. The pear and prosciutto was good but the stuffed squash blooms looked a little lonely on the plate. It came w 4 peices on a white paper napkin no marinara or dipping sauce, although you could order some for an additional cost. The only thing good I can say about it was it was crispy, but lacked flavor and needed more lemon and salt . Next we had the chopped salad, which was a must have for me, although this time it was over seasoned with oregano and didn't have enough dressing. We moved onto the Japanese sweet potato which was the highlight of the meal, slightly sweet with crème fraîche and fried sage leaves. I would recommend this dish. Lastly we had 2 pizzas, the fennel sausage and the croque madame, my favorite was the croque madame but both were good enough that I would recommend. We sat outside for the first time, the space was warm and cozy and service was very good.
A perfect Saturday evening with a couple of friends and of course the food, beverage and ambiance is why we make reservations at pizzeria mozza in the first place. Always magical.
Mozza continues to deliver delicious food, a great lively atmosphere and a place to gather with friends. Better to gather with friends so you can share more of its scrumptious offerings. Our waitress Delphina from Argentina was so engaging and helped to make the experience even better!
We always love going to Pizzeria Mozza. We were seated in the wine cellar which we hadn't been in before. Much more quiet in the wine cellar vs the main dinning area. It was cozy. Instead of pizza we ordered entrees this time. Chicken parmigiana and pasta all vodka. Both very good.
Our server Cary was awesome and gave us great recommendations. We got the calamari, Penne Alla Vodka, and Burrata pizza and a bottle of red. Everything was delicious and the vibes were great!
