West Coast Mexican food that doesn't disappoint. So good. Great value. Limited parking and difficult to access by car due to weird three way intersection. But once you get seated you have a great view if the Fratelli's ever break out of the Astoria jail again.
First off there were 6 of us descending on the restaurant for lunch and we aren't an easy group to handle!! But Fermin was a delight. He joked with us and made us feel at ease. Some of us were picky, asking for changes to our order and he got it ALL RIGHT!!! We were so happy with our meal and declared it the best we'd had after a week on the Oregon Coast!! Thank you Fermin for a real treat of a meal!!
Tacos are ok.
We stopped here after going to another place and finding out they were full for the rest of the evening. We were seated quickly and our food arrived quickly...the portions were generous and the food was good.
Awesome, tasty, delicious, great portions and good service. Over two nights we had a burrito dinner, shrimp cocktail (Mexican traditional served warm), the Jamison Special (steak, shrimp and scallops), taco and tostada. All were fantastic !!!
The truth is that I bought a lot in this store when I was in Van Nuys but they moved here and I don't know if the bread company is not the same anymore? and the cooks are different, I don't know, but both the bread and the food have a different flavor and it's not nice ??? and it's a shame
My daughter and I stopped here after a week long vacation traveling up the coast from Newport to Astoria. I love Mexican food and was delighted with the Camarones ala Diabla. (Prawns in spicy sauce). The seafood was fresh and plentiful with a huge helping of prawns for $15. The server prepared my dish exactly per my request as I didn't want the refried beans and rice. It was delicious. He even suggested that I have a "Mexican Coke" in the bottle which was a treat. I love Coke in the older bottles. The restaurant is delightful with traditional decor and the nicest staff. Conveniently located close to the Flavel House Museum if you want to tour that as well.
