This cafe is so beautiful and welcoming! The menu was eye-catching, and the baristas welcomed me with a warm smile! I was initially indecisive about what to get, but after asking for their opinion, I ordered a Mexican Arisinal Oaxacan iced latte. They bring your coffee to you, showing great customer service. I stayed there for almost 4 hours working on homework and never felt uncomfortable. Great music too! It was not distracting at all. It has a touch of upcoming Mexican art rooted in our ancestry. I love this cafe and will come back! The coffee I had was spicy though I knew it would be because it was in the name, a solid 8/10. I love the variety and exotic combinations. They also have a bar. Most definitely a great use of the space, both a bar and a cafe! Overall, this is a pretty spacious and welcoming place! I came over the summer, and it was pretty lonely in the morning, but I can tell customers come by !

Absolutely amazing service and some unique drinks options. The staff was so incredibly hospitable and warm that I would go back even if I didn't like the coffee. If you like fusion foods, you will love this place. They had some very interesting combinations for their coffee, including avocado and corn. I stayed on the safe side and got the cafe de olla, which is a sweetened cinnamon latte. My friend got the avocado latte and she liked it. I'm definitely coming back to try some other combos in the near future. Parking in the area sucks, of course, and metered parking is just as much as a whole day lot, basically.

I've had Pluma Cafe marked in my IG for quite some time and glad I finally made it in. What other way to celebrate Hispanic Heritage month than with some of DTLA's best Mexican quality coffee/culture by women tastemakers, offering a unique Oaxacan coffee concept. "Culture is what we drink, not coffee". They source from small farms and focus on protecting the environment. Be advised they're located in Pattern Bar by day, right on the corner of 9th. They close at 2 pm daily. I ordered the Ice Cafe de Olla with espresso, raw sugar, cinnamon and oat milk. The drink came with cute Mexico artwork on top! My drink was a little sweeter than I typically like but the spices of the cinnamon balanced it out plus added a little good luck to my life. The ladies working the cafe were very nice and informative! Find street parking, the nearby lot is $15.

During a short stay in DTLA we hit Pluma for morning coffee twice and tried the Elote, Tejate Raiz, Mexican Truffle, Chile Ancho, a cappuccino and iced matcha latte (x2). All were excellent, and the inclusion of Mexican spices and ingredients, including corn, huitlacoche, piloncillo, and Mexican chocolate from Oaxaca, make these coffee drinks truly unique! The flavors are actually very subtle but definitely come out. The reason I'm posting is that, despite the strong Yelp score, both times we were here there was no line and hardly any customers - why?!??This is a real deal coffee shop by day and a bar at night and it brings authentic Hispanic culture to their amazing drinks. Joanna made our drinks and she was wonderful as well!

The best latte I had during my visit to DTLA! Though they had an ample selection of Mexican artisanal drinks, I went with the basic option and it was amazing. 10/10 and can’t wait to one day come back.

The coffee and matcha flavors are complex and interesting. I got the Aguamacha and a fluffy cheesecake. Apparently PLUMA Cafe operates as a cafe in the AM and a bar in the PM.

Stopped by on a rainy morning for a warm drink and was so glad I did. Pluma is a great place to treat yourself to some incredible Mexican coffee. The interior is spacious and inviting. Lots of windows and seating, lush greenery behind the counter. (Didn’t see any Wi-Fi or outlets though). The coffee stand they have inside is open during the day and the venue becomes a nightclub in the evening. I tried the Chile ancho which was a warmly spiced drink with a slight Chile kick on top—excellent coffee! Prices were decent for DTLA. Jessica and Oscar were very kind and welcoming people as well. Would definitely swing by again and recommend you check it out too.
