It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t good enough for me to go again.

Waiters were rude and inattentive. The welcoming staff were polite and happy. Taking orders on tablets (is this a fast food restaurant?) Very lively atmosphere but the lights were way too bright. Table and chairs were sticky and dirtied my clothes and hands. Food was mediocre. I had margherita pizza and tortellini.

I ordered the clam linguine and it came out super dry and under seasoned. When I asked for them to fix it, they drowned it in soupy clam water and re-served it to me. Their coffee machine was also broken so they couldn't serve any coffee related items on their dessert menu. We also had 2 teenager boys in our party who were under-served food (kids meal portion size probably because they looked young). They still charged us the full size price for both plates so it was pretty lame. The boys ended up leaving the place hungry.

I enjoy this lovely trattoria located on Westwood Blvd for 40+ years where I used to bring my young family. Recently, I re-visited while walking by to Westwood Village. The Linguine Alla Pescatora was very delicious deserving 5 stars, its tomato sauce nicely balanced without being too “tomatoey.”
I returned with a friend today for lunch, ordered the Linguine Al Salmone recommended by the waiter spite of my questioning the smoked salmon, but I did NOT like it; was lacking in flavor, tasted dry in spite of too much gooey cream sauce.
I took 1 star off to balance my previous 5 star rating. I will explore another dish next time, perhaps avoiding a “cream” sauce dish and definitely smoked salmon!

It’s a cute and cozy little Iralian restaurant on Westwood. There is easy parking on the street and at night, it’s free.
It’s right on the corner and they do not take reservations. A small table is out front with a lust that you add your own name to. First cone, first served. There was a party of three before us, but since they had room for two people, we were seated.
It’s pretty loud inside as they try to pack in as many tables as they can. They immediately take your drink order and bring them quickly. Next a server comes by and tells you the specials, and then your waiter comes by to take your order.
We each got a glass of wine, and a salad. You can get each salad large or small. The small is plenty. I had a very fresh caesar and my wife had the Bietole E Noci (has roasted red beets) and they were both good. We split the Gnocchi Scampi and the Gnocchi All’arrabbiata. Their gnocchi is made fresh every day so why go with anything else. The gnocchi was light and fluffy and plentiful. The scampi dish had a ton of sizable pieces of fresh shrimp in it and the all’arrabbiata had a nice kick. Their fresh bread that had a nice crunch to the crust and soft inside easily aided in stemming the heat. We wanted dessert as everything looked delicious but were totally full.
The staff was friendly, quick, and helpful in finding the perfect order.
The crowd is mostly UCLA students.
If you’re in the area or not, stop by and have a fantastic meal freshly made that day. You will walk away full and satisfied. And in your happy place.
For me, I’m sad they don’t gave a location near me in Illinois as they are hands down my new favorite Italian restaurant.
Vegetarian options: Their soups ate vegetarian, many pasta dishes to choose from that are vegetarian or can be made that way.
Dietary restrictions: They did have gluten free pasta by request
Parking: Paid parking (meter) during the day and free at night.

A hidden gem a 8 minute Lyft ride from the Beverly Hilton. Quaint, great pasta, pizza and service. The pricing was similar to what I see in Green Bay WI so I was even more excited.

My favorite Italia restaurant. The staff are attentive without being annoying and the food is delicious.
Fettuccine alfredo is too plain, not as cheesy or creamy as I like, and needed to add salt. Same with linguine al salmone

Authentic Italian, great space, wonderful service. I don’t go out for Italian because I cook Italian better than most restaurants. I’d go to this one all the time if I lived in LA. Bravo.
