Make sure to watch the KCAL9 report on how this "restaurant" is torturing their neighboring families before giving them your money.

I want to start off my review by saying, don’t be swayed by the ambiance/aesthetic portrayed in the photos. It’s a small restaurant in a very ghetto part of DTLA, homeless surrounding the building and in a gross graffiti covered area. Looks like it’s under an apartment building as well. The “vibes” you see in the pictures seem to be a fraud. Seems like a dingy restaurant trying to be a nice one by overcompensating with mood lights and “aesthetic” ambiance, however it’s a lot more fake. We were served with bottled water but it’s not actual bottled water just normal water that was placed in an unlabeled glass bottle for the table. And our “candles” were a little cheap battery powered tea light. My chair was broken and the whole place smelled like sewage trying to be masked by some sort of air freshener/scent. Everything apart of the decor actually appears very cheap. So they have no reason to charge the price they do. When our food came out, it was very mid. Not close to worth the price. We sent the fettuccine back. I also would like to mention, probation is labeled as a restaurant but the menu is VERY small. You have the choice of pretty much 2 burgers, fettuccine or overpriced steak. When we ordered our server was very awkward and seemed like we were burdening him. We also put in a celebratory request on our reservation and they never mentioned it. Once we got the bill we were told we couldn’t get two checks and then when we looked at the check we noticed, probation adds it’s own tip, which is 20%. Unable to be removed because it “states in on their menu”. Mandating tipping is so not cool. Especially at 20% for very mid service, then on top of that when cashing out the screen asks for tip on top of that. I hope this place can improve but overall, would not recommend to anyone especially not someone on a trip here trying to go out for a nice DTLA dinner.

I had a reservation and could not be sat down without the rest of my party. We were waiting for 2 more people that were stuck in traffic and we were worried our reservation would be canceled. Sergio was great and super accommodating when the rest of the party arrived. Great music, great drinks, food was okay but we were there for a good time.

It was a great place to have dinner with my daughter! I do wish they would just not have the DJ light going around the restaurant until later at night. It felt a little weird having dinner with lights flashing.

I had the chicken and it was good I give it at 7. Was disappointed that the Open Table menu wasn't the same as the one in person. The sweet and smokey bbq wings didn't exist, the mushroom pasta didn't exist, the cauliflower tacos, like more than half of the menu wasn't available and doesn't exist due to in person, the menu was very limited. I expected more options and that's why I picked that spot. Nice ambiance. I liked it a lot. I hate the whole experience of being photographed while you eat and asking to be photographed while eating and then them trying to sell you the framed photo. I just wanted a chill, relaxing, evening in private with my partner and it became a photo shoot mid-meal. The staff was nice for the most part though, but I now know what to expect if/when I come back.

The food was good the vibe and esthetics was great. I would definitely come back for dinner and drinks for sure. The artwork throughout is very inspiring. They have a great Speakeasy that is hidden with amazing artwork. The drinks were very good. It's a create place to have a cocktail.

Interesting restaurant and space. Lots to see in the decor and layout (downstairs bar is worth a visit). Food was good and service very good. On a more disappointing note there were 2 service fees added to the bill. A 3% service fee and a 17% gratuity were preloaded. Our server was very good but that policy is unacceptable. The bill suggested a gratuity on top of the automatically added items below! Probably will not revisit for that behavior alone.

Everything here was amazing starting with the customer service to the ambience to the food. 10/10 however the only problem was the false advertisement. Says happy hour is Tuesday- Friday from 5-7. When getting there they told us it's only on Thursdays. They need to update the menu online so people don't get confused. That was our only complaint but besides that everything was amazing.

Great ambiance and drinks. Food menu can be improved. They were out of certain seafood. I was looking forward to trying the grilled octopus but they didn't have it. Mac and cheese was bland.

I came here during the art night in DTLA with a friend and we had an amazing time! Valeria was phenomenal, very personable, shared details about the drinks, etc. This place is a hidden gem so we were stunned when we found out about it. I’ll def be returning again soon!

The parking was bad, they only had Valet and it was an OUTRAGEOUS $25 to literally move it across the street. Food and drinks both top notch and the server I had was friendly, knowledgable and made sure we were taken care of. I'd go back! Just find better parking..
