I ordered beef, but what I got was mostly fat with barely any real meat. The dish had way too many vegetables, and despite selecting fish balls, I only received one of each. This was really disappointing and completely different from what was advertised.
To the owner: if you’re trying to save money by cutting corners like this, maybe don’t sell food at all. Customers deserve honesty and quality.

Used to live across the street and would go all the time. Tried some other malatang spots after I moved but this spot is still my favourite in LA.

So good
I am addicted. 6 stars. Great service great food fair price.
As a hotpot foodie, by far, this is the most authentic place in town. Not only loved their main menu, hotpot and dry pot, but also enjoyed cucumber, fried sweet buns, and lamp skewers. With icy beer, yum!
The place was welcoming and clean. I also appreciated the prompt service.👍
Food is decent (although they forgot to add an ingredient) but I mainly have an issue with how they make you order the dish on the app. You are required to select ingredients in each category (vegetables, noodles, meats, seafood, etc.). I did not want noodles or seafood in my hot pot dish and specified in the instructions to exclude those ingredients because I did not want them. They ignored the instructions and proceeded to add the ingredients anyway. The ordering process on the app should mirror the experience when you dine-in, in which you are allowed to select only the ingredients you want. Why do you force customers select ingredients they don’t want when the purpose of your restaurant is to allow customers to select the ingredients they want? I can’t think of a reason why this can’t be accommodated when ordering on the app. Doesn’t seem like logistically it would be challenging nor time consuming.
