The Liang Pi noodles were so good that I couldn't stop eating them long after I hit my limit. 5/5. Worth the drive.

The restaurant itself does look quite humble, shall we say? Don't let that deter you, or you'll miss out. The food is amazing, portions are large, and the staff is very friendly. I went with a less adventurous eater. I had the Guilan noodle soup off of the specialties section of the menu, and he had the sliced beef noodle soup. Both portions were substantial and came out of the kitchen quickly. My Guilan was amazing. I particularly liked the pickled cabbage in it. The beef shank was fall apart tender. This place is awesome. I only wish I had one closer to where I live.

While the place may look shabby. The good is amazing! Was walking around randomly in Chinatown and came across this place by chance. The food looks as good as the pictures. I had the ziajhang noodle and cold cucumber.

I'm a SoCal native w/ experience in the restaurant industry. Second time visiting and unfortunately my experience is disappointing as the last. First off, no AC on a hot day. The Chinese Mo was underwhelming and overpriced. Much better options available anywhere else in Chinatown — an underrated culinary oasis in my opinion.

I was on my way to H popular, well-known place, but the menus on the window and reasonable prices here pulled me in. I’m glad I stopped; this was outstanding food! I would highly recommend making this your intended destination next time you visit Chinatown; the lamb soup was delicious, and the sesame balls were fresh

No better bowl of noodles on a hot day. Tingling kind of spice that keeps you addicted! Been to the one in Arcadia but this one is the original. The owner was here for a bit and we got to chatting about his journey. He’s an immigrant from China, his wife worked in a bank and moved here to help him with his business. In 15 years they’ve expanded to 7 locations and and 8th coming to San Diego. They do the classics here but the Liang Pi with the Beef Shank is my fave.

Avoid at all costs, this place is a cover for some thing and very unprofessional. These people say they are open until seven. I arrived at six and paid money for parking. I get to the door and it's locked . A guy, young Latino comes to the door and almost unlocks the door but an older Latino dude called him off and they went into the kitchen. I knocked and knocked and finally the older guy comes out and I guesture at my watch and he waves me away.. I lnock again and he flipped me the bird and disappeared. I should have videotaped this weirdness -- I got the fact they were closed early. A waste of your time. Avoid at all costs

I decided to try this place after getting some Howling Rays, and the torn bread soup and pork burger were incredible, as were the cold noodles. High rec. I now put the Howlin Rays chicken strips on the noodles and they taste nice.

The owner is blunt, but there is no tip, which is good.
I do not recommend wonton noodles, but meat broth noodles such as beef noodle or dandan noodle are delicious.
The dumplings are not very good either.
Compared to the average rating, it is not disappointing or not recommended. The price is reasonable too

The food is overly salty and oily. Not recommended. It’s not very tasty and not recommended. It’s better to eat bagged instant powder.
