The food was ok. Not terrible but not worth the money. However the service was truly awful. I felt anxious from the moment I entered as the server was so rude and abrupt. Anything we asked for seemed like a big deal. It was my friend's birthday and she didn't enjoy her birthday dinner because of the service. None of us would go back.
P.s. @ Brandon Kennedy - I'm genuinely thrilled you had a wonderful time. I don't want anyone to have the same experience we had đ but I literally asked the server to remove the bacon and they refused to sooo....I'm glad you think you were part of our evening but we also didn't ask to split the bill or take ubers (most people weren't drinking due to driving đ€·đ»ââïž) so I feel like you're invalidating our experience having not been part of it ..how do you feel about the #metoo movement? You strike me as someone who maybe likes to invalidate women's experiences? Enjoy your life and your dining. Please mind your business and don't comment on things you weren't a part of đ

Came in on Friday for a friend's birthday dinner. From the very start our server was annoyed and seemed very inconvenienced by our presence. When my friend tried to order fish but asked if it could be made without being cooked in pork butter, she was flat out refused. This attitude just continued throughout the meal to the point that I didn't even want to ask where my meal was 1.5 hours in, so I never received my food. Others in the group that actually received food thought it was decent but I don't think this sort of treatment warrants the 1k dinner bill. Disappointed all around.

donât listen to those people below. iâve been here several times and itâs always an amazing experience. if youâre afraid of shrimp with the heads on and order a pimento cheeseburger with lettuce instead of a bun, you are infinitely unqualified to critique food.
what takes this place from good to great is the service. the host and servers are attentive without being overbearing and are deeply knowledgeable about all aspects of the raw bar, cooked food, wine, and beverages. iâve never had an issue with accommodating simple modifications (like removing a pork product).
I was in fact at the restaurant the night one reviewer below (complaining about the service) was there. they were an entitled group of drunk girls asking for difficult requests (trying to split the bill a number of ways). as they were walking out of the restaurant and waiting for the uber, they were extremely loud and rude. I wouldnât be particularly excited to serve their group either.
all in all, highly recommend this spot. the menu is always evolving, and now that they have a full bar, they make a killer martini.

The name suggests a regal command, yet the kitchen has an unfortunate knack for missing the mark. This is an overpriced place with detached service and uninspired hospitality.
I began with a half dozen oysters, split between two different kinds. The oysters themselves were ok at best, and arrived on a platter that gave no hint of the raw bar excellence their name advertises. The queen street salad shouldâve been a pile of fresh greens, but instead it was an afterthought. The shrimp and grits. Good grits, flavorful enough shrimp, but the choice to serve the shrimp with their heads, eyes and tentacles still attached felt like a miscalculation, a small but jarring detail that speaks for itself. The fried fish sandwich sinks quickly, and lacks the crispy exterior that makes a great sandwich. The bread was unremarkable, and the lettuce was bland. Then came the pimento cheeseburger, the true undoing. It was a catastrophic failure. It smelled like a mistake and tasted even worse. One bite was enough before I sent it away. Easily one of the worst restaurant burgers Iâve had in Los Angeles.
A disappointing parade of below-average ingredients. If you're looking for a great seafood experience in LA you'll find plenty of exceptional options, just not here.

My buddy and I got some oysters. Weâve been thinking about it during our many bar excursions for the day.
We reserved seats at the oyster counter.
We got ourselves an assortment of oysters, shrimp scampi and stuffed clams.
Couldnât really take photos because we were busy hanging.
We have a selfie and while we are scrumptious, I donât think we are on the menu.

Honestly, I want to give Queenâs a 5 star. Weâve been here several times and the experience has been epic. This review is based on my last experience.
Walking in, we were greeted by the host. I booked reservations for indoor dining but she recommended outdoor, the weather was prime and we agreed and were happy we did. The breeze and their music selection closed the deal. An old school jam, ABC - Jackson 5 was playing as we were being seated. We were feeling the vibe.
It didnât take long for our server to appear and ask us if we wanted water or maybe a little something harder. He mentioned a special on martinis. 10 bucks. So we opted for both, martinis and mineral water.
Looking through the menu, there were some standouts: Oysters, halibut crudo, shrimp cocktail, their house salad, a chicken dish and black cod. Drinks were served shortly after and we made our order. I gotta say the $10 martini went down extremely well.
Food? The oysters were heaven. Tasted like they were picked right out of the sea, the vinegar sauce was a nice complement with a spritz of lemon. East coast oysters. The shrimp cocktail? This was our only downer. Although the dipping sauce was excellent, the shrimp prepared perfectly⊠it was extremely over seasoned. It was hard to get down, and good thing that the halibut crudo came out right after! Exceptionally dish, fresh with a citrus sauce, very pleasant dish. Shortly after the salad came out, damn good. Then the chicken and black cod on rice. Lemme say, that black cod elevated me from the first bite, the outer texture was crispy, but once you bit through that it melted in your mouth, the rice complimented the fish well - seasoned to perfection. The chicken was a close second, crispy outer with a moist inner, it came with really tasty and crispy fries - the dipping sauce was đ„ . With the exception of the shrimp the meal was sublime.
Stand outs: oysters, black cod, chicken, raw halibut.
Why 4 stars? A significant part of the dining experience is the service you are provided. Our server appeared inexperienced and not very personable, but to his credit we was very young. I would think an establishment like this would provide more seasoned staff. Also consider, be prepared to spend some $. Weâve been here 3 times, and for a party of 2: with appetizers, drinks and a couple mains the check has always exceeded 3 bills. For the culinary experience and ambience I do not mind the price of admission. Service is usually on point.
Either way, for any seafood lover in the area, this establishment should be in your hit list. We will continue to explore their menu

Queenâs Raw Bar & Grill is a charming take on a Southern seafood and raw bar. The space is beautiful and the service friendly.
Standouts were the fresh oysters, grilled artichokes, fried code sandwich and passion fruit sundae.
Friendly dogs are welcome on the patio. Itâs a perfect afternoon spot, or evening date spot.
Super bomb
Great place for dinner. Lively and great energy throughout
The best oysters in town, with a great selection of wines. Impeccable service, romantic atmosphere. Itâs for your girl!!
This is a lovely restaurant serving predominantly seafood on York Street in Highland Park in L.A. The restaurant is on the small side, but they have a nice amount of outdoor seating.
We shared a number of starters. The shrimp cocktail was fresh and nice, the hush puppies were moist with a lovely dipping sauce, and the artichokes were nicely cooked. They have oysters on the half shell as well. The she crab soup was tasty, but lacked the roe that makes it pink. Maybe this is hard to find in L.A.
I had the shrimp and grits. The shrimp were nicely cooked, and the accompanying sauce on the grits had a nice flavor. It was a good version of this classic southern dish. The fish in paper was excellent, and the fish varies from day to day. The chicken portion was huge, but it was delicious. The fries were nicely cooked also.
I really liked the passion fruit caramel sundae, and it was big enough to share.
They only serve beer and wine, as well as non- alcoholic beverages, at the moment.
The service was excellent, and they were super good about having things for children to color .
