Imagine 4 women walk into a bar, interested in seeing this speakeasy concept (failed, but noble attempt). Admiring the little knick knacks and decorations.
Then, the vibe gets completely deflated by the pathetically passive-aggressive and bizarre balding bartender. So we each had one drink, instead of 2 or 3, commiserated about the state of humanity and left, with no intention of ever coming back.
Good luck R Bar.

It seemed to me like the bartender was guessing prices. A cocktail and a beer cost the same.

Not sure Iâve met a better person behind the bar other than Victoria. If youâre reading this and not going in youâre only hurting yourself

Great little dive bar in Koreatown with Karaoke in the evening!
There were people of all different skill levels singing, and it was a fun supportive crowd the night I went.

unfortunately bad pours on well drinks, as a 20+ year bartender I know my counts, the gals on this night were definitely shorting me and my friends, there was a 15 dollar minimum charge which I understand on the 4th of July, but felt a bit silly when I received maybe an oz of alcohol for my gin sodas. Shots were fine, but in a place like this if your bartenders are free pouring you have to test them. I spent 30 dollars on 2oz of well gin. Good vibe, nice neighborhood bar, staff needs work. Heard the food is fantastic
Went out for a drink. Good atmosphere, and they had karaoke!

A great little bar where everybody knows your name. One of the gems of Los Angeles, this is one of those friendly bars where everyone is super chill and thereâs no pretension.
The food is amazing tbh. Surprisingly good. The fried are crispy and crunchy with a hint of rosemary. The karaoke is fun and laid back. The people are warm. The bathrooms could use a little updating but workâŠsometimes. Parking can be an issue. Wish they had something worked out with a parking lot where you can park for a couple bucks.
Overall this place is a great place for a birthday or when you just want to get out of the house and sing a few tunes.
Definitely a strong spot for a personality - with a babadook waving a rainbow pride on their chalkboard and a cool skeleton. They have tall 10$ cocktails served in shakers which I enjoyed - the micheladas and coffee cocktails however weren't all too memorable. So good atmosphere, with standard drinks
Loved coming here when I lived in the neighborhood. I enjoyed talking to the regulars outside who are super nice and chill :)
Donât go hereâŠ.
Tried to order a drink at the bar and the bartender was playing with a dog as I waited. While waiting I got called for my song and didnât get to order anything. No biggie I wasnât tripping. After my song I went to go hang with my friends. The door guy proceeded to come to me and say âif youâre going to go to a bar you should order somethingââŠâŠâŠ We stayed 5 more minutes before leaving. As we left the door guy said something snarky to my friend.
Drinks were on point! We sang karaoke and the Dj was awesome. She was getting the crowds singing with her too. We just got drinks and no food.
