Good food. Helpful staff. Relaxed vibe. I'd definitely go back and try something different. Definitely a locals favorite.

I saw Rockenwagner on an Eater's best-of list and was also recommended by a friend. My experience here was just okay--not great, not bad...kind of unremarkable. My partner and I ordered a few pastries to go (a lox and everything bagel Danish, a bear claw, and a pretzel), a loaf of their raisin pecan bread, and two entrees--a pretzel croissant breakfast sandwich and a pretzel bun burger (It was 11:30 AM and we wanted the best of both pretzel worlds). General thoughts: Entrees: I am a pretzel lover and the pretzel bun and croissant didn't scratch the itch. Maybe it's the lack of lye flavoring? The burger and sandwich were both decently cooked and made with fresh ingredients. I truly think it is criminal that a breakfast sandwich costs 15 dollars nowadays, but hey, welcome to LA/Southern California. Pastries: We made the mistake of waiting to eat the pastries until the next morning. They lost that day of freshness, so that's 100% on us. The lox/everything bagel Danish was beautiful and such a creative idea, but it was missing something...and ultimately made me want to eat an actual lox and bagel. I don't remember what the bear claw tasted like but remember that it was filled with frangipane. The pretzel was probably my favorite out of the bunch, but I think there was too much cheese on it (which is rarely an issue). Bread: The pecan raisin loaf is pretty good toasted with butter. I am not sure if it is baked the same day it is sold (or even baked on-site?), as the loaf was packaged in an additional layer of plastic. I wish it had more of a crusty exterior/soft interior that most fresh artisanal loaves have. Rockenwagner's fine and I would like to come back to give it another chance, but with Lodge Bread so close...

I had the caprese eggs and they were good, enough to keep me full until I lunch. Service was quick & ambiance ok

Might be one of the best matcha lattes I've ever had. Came here after my shift on a Friday to work on some homework and it was fairly empty around 1:30pm. I got the pretzel croissant sandwich and the matcha latte which were both really yummy, but the sandwich is definitely a splurge. I spent $23 total. The interior is super cute, cozy, and clean, and the service was super friendly! Love this spot!

I went here for my first time, I can't believe in all of the years I've passed by that I didn't stop by and get a bite. Based on other reviews I got the Pretzel Breakfast Sandwich and replaced the tater tots with a salad. Plus, I picked up a maple pecan scone. The sandwich had a perfect texture and flavor! The scone wasn't too sweet, yummy to everything. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly! I'll definitely return! Sorry, no time for pictures!

Excellent service! Needed a custom raisin and walnut bread order after my usual NYC bread baker was unable to send to me. Louis was eager to assist me. He is super friendly and helpful, and he took the time to help me to accommodate my special request order. I tried the raisin walnut bread I need for a party I am hosting on Thursday, and it is delish! No need to ship from NYC anymore! Thank you, Louis! xo

Love this place with all my heart! The best baked goods around...despite having a sign that displays no pets allowed, people seem to be more the more app to bring their pets there for some reason. I'm not a dog hater, but do enjoy a nice pastry and coffee without the dogfights, barking, flying hairs and dogs jumping on the counter to inspect the goods...IJS

This is a great bakery and cafe. I've eaten here many times and always enjoy it. Lately, I have been going for breakfast. I get a latte and the granola with yogurt. Yesterday I went and had the pretzel bun smash burger. It's an interesting take on the current craze. Stop by and check them out. You'll be glad you did.

Prices are outdated online, they are much higher in the store. Wasting people’s time shouldn’t be in the intinerary

They have been considered our neighborhood favorite bakery and breakfast go-to for years. Great place and always consistent. Keep Rocken!
