Amazing cuisine, really quality Thai food made with real Thai people. Staff are super friendly and welcoming of people, just a good old fashioned "Mom and Pop" shop -- we need to support businesses like these guys....they are the cornerstone of American Business. If we don't support awesome restaurants like Rene Cafe, we won't have a choice, and all that we'll have is predictable, cookie-cutter chains like all the other franchises, with terrible unpersonalized customer service and soul-less corporations.Vegetarian options: The owner is actually a vegetarian, so he will help you with your options.Kid-friendliness: Nothing dangerous.Wheelchair accessibility: Ground level.

was lucky enough to be shown this place by a co worker. Love the people who run the restaurant and the food they make. Food is so good sometimes I order just their salad which is saying alot for me lol

Their orange chicken is probably one of the best ones we have had! It's not your typical Panda Express or the ones you get at any Chinese fast food/express restaurant. Its crispy yet has the delicious sweet and sour sauce that does not dominate.Their chicken fried rice, veggie stir fry, pad Thai, and tom yum soup are all very delicious. Great price and great service!

My wife and I had a lovely experience at Renè Cafè. The two employees there were incredibly friendly, and our appetizer was out in less than five minutes. Delicious noodles and chicken. We really enjoyed it and would definitely recommend!

This is a mom and pop shop with the friendliest owners. They've been making food here for over 30 years so they really know how to make awesome and authentic Thai and Chinese food. I got the pad kee mao and it was authentic with large portions and tasted delicious. Would highly recommend supporting local, mom and pop businesses like this one. Would definitely come back again!!

Since the last time I wrote my review, I have revisited Rene Cafe several times. Each time has been amazing arguably more than the last where every-time I have come here, I have felt very welcomed and had my stress reduced by the hospitality of such wonderful establishment. Unfortunately however, people are still intent on giving this place a bad review by basing it off false sound bites. Rene Cafe does NOT discriminate against people who are willing to come in and have a modest time by enjoying a delicious Thai meal. To based it off after several glances at what is been based while pretending to be a "customer" for this place is once again strongly inappropriate. Throughout my time here and in the future visits to Rene Cafe, I know for a fact that those that are only looking for minor nitpicks are just quite frankly wasting their time because the staff here does their best to ensure that they are the best Thai cuisine in the Universe.

The restaurants anti-vax and info wars propaganda on their windows is a pass for me. A shame cause I used to enjoy this restaurant.

Tasty and authentic! We enjoyed the pad see ew, spicy fried rice, yellow curry and Thai tea. Yum! Friendly & family owned establishment, long time members of the community. Thank you!!

Humble location, amazing food. Dont know where the comments about staff came from. Found them very nice. Food was ready in 10 minutes. Got the pork pad see ew and chicken spicy fried rice. Both were delicious and a big serving for the price! Added menu pics since they weren’t on google before.

I've been coming here for over 10 years and I love the owners, the food, and the little cafe they've been serving in! The prices are great for LA, and the food has never been bad out of all the times I've been. Sometimes they've even slipped in extra food maybe by mistake but I'll take it! I wish I could come more often, but I don't live as close as I used to, but whenever I'm craving thai it's the only place I love to go!

The best Thai food & great prices. A buddy took me here & I'm glad he did. The owners are awesome, Owen & Bo. Good conservative Americans that are grateful to this great country. There's a recent review here here by a girl that states she is going through chemo but her profile pic shows a healthy person (that's not wearing a mask) & I don't understand why you would risk your health in anyway just to go out to eat if you truly are sick in anyway. To ask a restaurant to cater to your needs seems very self centered. Keep up the great work, Owen.

Have been a customer for last 5 years! Their yellow curry is the best in DTLA! And the service is excellent! Keep up your good work!

I had just finished up my third chemo injection & was looking forward to a delicious Thai lunch as a treat. I get that mask mandates are no longer in affect but since my immune system is so low, I'm susceptible to all illnesses. I finished ordering & asked politely if the cook would be able to prepare my food with a mask on & the guy gave me attitude & told me they couldn't serve me. I don't see what the big deal is with wearing a mask to prepare food for one single customer who is battling cancer. I especially didn't understand the callousness & rudeness from him.
