The staff was very friendly and helpful. My wife was not happy with the first tea she selected. The staff responded immediately and found a replacement that she was happy with. Everyone was wonderful and very helpful.

The Biltmore is a gorgeous hotel, full of art deco and the best of the early 20th Century Los Angeles. The tea-set is beautiful, the live music on the piano is wonderful and the pastries look gorgeous; perfect for instagram! However, that's where the good vibes end. The sandwiches were dry, clearly prepped far too far in advance of the 2:30pm tea time. The cucumber sandwich and the egg sandwich in particular were like eating a piece of stale (but beautifully prepared) toast. It is such a shame that so much clearly painstaking work went into creating this visually stunning sandwiches, only to let them sit for too long and then be hard as nails. The salmon mousse sandwich was described by my diner as "Glue-y", and I agree, the filling stuck to the roof of your mouth like a bite full of peanut butter (The flavour was good! texture was not!). The ham and cheese choux pastries were the best of the bunch, absolutely perfect. Unlike other Afternoon Teas at most other establishments, the Biltmore does not offer a second plate (we asked for a second helping of the ham and cheese puffs, as they were the most edible thing, and we were told by a shocked (shocked!) waitress that there were no seconds available). The desserts were not any better; simply perfect looking, but the macaron, for example, was so hard that it was as though the Biltmore had created a humongous skittle, cut it in half, and filled the middle with cream. The scones were so dry and crumbly that they disintegrated. The raspberry creme puff (also choux pastry) was the best of the lot, and actually delicious. The selection of three teas was quite lacking, and the one black & gold tea on offer was smoky to the point that it felt like we'd had a mild cigar. Additionally, the service team made us feel like we were overstaying our welcome after 45 minutes, despite being half empty, it seemed like we were being encouraged to depart. Biltmore: Please find a way to keep your sandwiches and pastries fresh.

Lovely space and amazing staff but WAYYY overpriced for what you get. The savory bites are acceptable but the sweet ones tasted of straight sugar and nothing else. If you aren't an influencer, it isn't worth $120 by a long shot. $75 would be generous. Parking is $25 minimum on top of it.

Having afternoon Tea in the Builtmore is exceptional. There are very few venues that bring you back to the elegance on 1920's Los Angeles. The tea service itself is laid out in elegant vintage style and the cakes and sandwiches are plentiful. The staff is attentive and gracious.

Within the past year we've come 3 times. The first time it was $65 per person, 11 months later it was $75, and okay, I get it that prices go up a little every year. But then 1 month later it jumped to $110 per person! All the food is exactly the same, the same staff, same everything, so I don't understand the 70% increase in price in 1 year! It's just not worth it anymore.

I have wanted to do the tea service here for years but had a hard time scheduling it because of their limited hours. I finally had an opportunity and was very surprised to see they only had a handful of guests despite showing limited tables available. The place was a ghost town. The menu was typical of tea service however they only had 3 tea options which was another surprise since most tea services offer varietals. The petit fours and sandwiches were a massive disappointment. The pastries tasted as if they had just been pulled from the fridge and were very dry and tasteless. I didn't bother to finish mine and didn't take them home. The sandwiches were extremely small, even by tea service standards, but it didn't matter because half of them were stale anyway. Part of what you're paying for is ambiance and the room is a stunning display of classic Art Deco Los Angeles but it's tempered by the barrage of tourists walking by our table to take photos at the fountain or influencers posing on the stairs. The harpist is a nice touch but every song was a Disney cover which just felt weird. The tea service is one of the more expensive experiences in LA (more than The Huntington Rose Room with admission!) so at this price point I absolutely expected better quality. I would have had a better experience simply ordering a latte from the bar and sitting at one of the tables surrounding the court.

This was one of the best experiences I've had. My sister and I went on June 1st to celebrate 3 years of sobriety. The staff went above and beyond for us, giving us apple cider instead of champagne, making sure we had everything we needed, and were SO friendly! They took pics of me and my sister on top of the stairs also, and they turned out great! The tea was so incredibly good- I had the one that was specially created for the Biltmore's 100th anniversary. The food and sweets were DELICIOUS- it didn't look like a lot but it filled us up and was so dang good. We already said that we're going to make the high tea service an annual event. It really made our whole weekend and was a phenomenal way to celebrate sobriety. We even dressed up in tea outfits. I can't wait to do it again. Thank you all, again. I'm so grateful for that experience and memory. Also- the chicken pastry, macaron, and pistachio cake were my favorites!!

Afternoon tea was a disappointment lovely atmosphere but sandwiches tasted rather stale and dry. Scones were dry. I had a much nicer tea at Butchart gardens for 1/2 the cost

Afternoon tea at the Biltmore Hotel is an experience to have! The incredible interior architecture, tea and scones, bottomless champagne, and the most welcoming service was impeccable. They sure outdid themselves when hosting this event every Saturday. All the girlies who attend look so lovely! I am so happy this experience is back in full swing. I took my mom for a pre Mother’s Day celebration and she absolutely enjoyed herself.

The listing for my reservation for “Magical Mother's Day” showed images of tea, had a generic description and linked to the tea menu on open table. So it was quite a surprise when my mother and I showed up to a dismal buffet in the basement that was about $50 more per person than what was advertised when I booked. If that's not a bait and switch I don't know what is. Staff said that we weren't the only ones to be misled. But it seems (by reading these comments) this has also happened previously, I'm not sure what they've done to prevent this kind of miscommunication/ misleading booking. It was really disappointing to happen on Mother's Day.

We thought we reserved for afternoon tea but it turned out they don't have afternoon tea on Sundays. They had only brunch and we were afraid to pay the cancellation fee. We ended up paying more than $500 and the food was so bad. So disappointed

This event was falsely advertised. It is held in this basement banquet hall with no windows and is not a tea service. It is a buffet inside of a large room filled with tables. Overall very over priced and not what we expected.

We recently had tea on the Saturday before Mother's Day. There was another event going on at the hotel and the bass from that event's music was thumping through the walls so much that it was all you could hear in the Rendezvous Court area. It's a shame they didn't think to schedule an event like that after tea service had ended. Still, we had a lovely time, as always. My family and I got all three teas that were offered and they were all fantastic. My husband loves the smokey English Breakfast tea and I'm a big fan of the hibiscus rose tea. We couldn't finish all the food as there's just too much! My daughter didn't like any of the savory offerings, and when the hostess stopped by to see how we were doing, she offered to bring my daughter extras of her favorite dessert. She came back with a plate of three extra servings of the chocolate cake! As we were waiting for our car to be pulled around, we struck up a conversation with one of the valets who has a daughter the same age as ours. He gave our daughter a free little Teddy bear named Alfred. This kid is just constantly getting things for free, so obviously she loves the Biltmore! We try to make it a point to come back for tea at least once or twice a year because it's just such a lovely time.

This was an utterly charming experience for us, from the tea-drinking ladies in their little hats, the lovely tea service in spectacular china, the colorful little cakes and perfect sandwiches, the lovely tidbits made especially for my gluten-intolerant friend (thank you Mady Romero!), and finally to the warm greeting by general manager Jimmy. We loved it.
