I came here based on reviews, was very disappointed, not sure what all the hype is but the food was horrible...rib tips was old and hard, potato salad had huge chunks of hard potatoes with absolutely no flavor, the beef hot link was like a boiled polish sausage, the beans was just ok even though they were watery and the sliced bread was fresh at least, I would like to think that I came at a bad time but I'll never know because I most definitely will not be back... enjoy the wasted $22... highly not recommended

Awesome barbecue from Lonnie and the crew at Ribtown BBQ. Really great southern bbq. The meats are smoky and tender, and the sauce (which is important in southern bbq) adds great flavor. My favorite item is the rib tips. Wonderfully smoked, great flavor and sauce on them. The ribs, chicken and links are also delicious. Sandwiches with the various meats are excellent. Sides are delicious too. They're on Jefferson just west of Arlington most weekends, check their social media to be sure they're open. Service is great and friendly. The line usually isn't too long, and it moves quickly. Definitely give Ribtown a try if you're interested in barbecue.

This is that legit BBQ. Everything homemade and they don’t skimp on portions. They make you feel like family. I’ll be back!

My husband and I stopped by here and he bought a few bones (beef ribs). Can't really find beef ribs many places. The service was great. It's a family ran business. My husband said the ribs were delicious. Tender and meaty. The sauce was top notch. I don't eat meat, but I did dab my finger in the sauce, and yup! Sauce is good! Prices very reasonable. We will definitely stop by again when we're in LA. I have to try their sides and desserts, seems they have good options. Highly recommend.

Comin from Texas, I like to pretend I know more than most. Whether or not that’s true, I found this BBQ wagon to be of the highest order. Dang fine ribs, Mac n cheese, and beans done uniquely glorious.I’ve had the other big bbq names of Los Angeles, and to this huckleberry, this one’s top of the heap. ?

One of the few authentic Pit BBQ places in Los Angeles. RibTown is a must try if you're a BBQ lover. Most places try to emulate Texas BBQ, which is great BBQ, but only a small fraction of American BBQ tradition. RibTown has no such limitation. This black-owned business provides a strong offering of a BBQ tradition that predates Texas BBQ. Whereas Texas BBQ is big on sauceless meats, RibTown serves every meat dripping in a sweet, tangy BBQ sauce. Whereas many places pride themselves on their brisket, RibTown excels at pork. The ribs are wonderfully balanced between smoky, sweet, tender, with a delightful bark. If you get one thing at RibTown, let it be the ribs. If you get two things, get the rib tips. Not many places serve rib tips. If you haven't had them before, now is the time to try them. RibTown makes great rib tips. They are fattier and more tender than the main part of a spare rib. And they're way tastier than what you'd get in a baby back rib, no matter what Chili's says. While you're there, take in the sight of their two large offset smokers. This is the one thing at RibTown that feels like Texas BBQ. They are authentic Texas-style offsets. They look to be the standard converted propane tank. In either case, they are a rare sight in LA. The only other place in town with this kind of smoker is Moo's Craft BBQ (to my knowledge). Say hello to Dale and Lonnie, the pit masters. They are kind and welcoming hosts. And the team at the cash register is just and hospitable. The place is food trailer in a parking lot. Be prepared to eat in your car if it's a busy day.

?? USA (via Eat the World Los Angeles) - On Friday and Saturday only, people who live or work nearby come to this lot to swap Los Angeles barbecue stories, their long-gone favorites, and order from this husband and wife duo. Despite being former cast-offs, rib tips are not easy to cook. They are generally thinner and can dry out easily, but since the cuts all have different sizes and thicknesses, a pitmaster has to constantly move them around and turn them over. If you have the means, the best order here is to make sure you get some of both; those lovely, grisly and fatty tips, and part of a rack of spareribs.

The ribs are up there with the best you’ve ever had, and the sides are great too! Discovered this gem while walking my dog. the aromas emanating from their pit “El Jefe” drew me in.Give RibTown a shot, you won’t be disappointed!

The brisket platter was incredible, not too dry like many places cook it. I’ll definitely be back soon to try the rib tips!

I've had Philips, woodys & the original Texas king bbq spots.THIS has to take the cake for best barbecue in south central. It's always the small family spots that have the best food ‍ I recommend this to everyone because of the the affordable price, loving hospitality from the owner & flavorful fall off the bone ribs.

I stopped by yesterday to get a rib tip & hot link plate. I was greeted immediately by the owner who was a really nice man. There was a beautiful family ordering in front of me.When I placed my order with the nice lady, she was patiently helpful as it was my first time there. When I tell you it did my heart some good watching the owner talk with the son of the lady in front of me in line. It was like an uncle talking with his nephew. Family. Now the food...omg, so tender and full of flavor. The sauce was tasty with a little sweet tang. Those links, Just bomb.I will be back to this jewel.Thanks.
