For the first time in life, unlock the achievement of raw pickled crabs. Ten years ago, I watched "My Love from the Star" and I always wanted to try it, but I never knew where it was delicious. I didn’t expect that my first try would be in LA.
Although it’s my first time and I don’t have a benchmark for comparison, this raw pickled crab is really great! good! eat! Not what I'm saying. The kind of delicious food that I would be willing to return to a thousand times. Paired with Sou Beer, it is heaven.
We ordered regular and spicy, and I prefer the regular pickled crab more! From now on, you will definitely have to eat one per person to make your trip worthwhile. It has been included in the pilgrimage list that family and friends must bring when visiting LA!
I sincerely recommend raw pickled crabs 10,000 times! The crab soup is also delicious, but the pork belly can be omitted! I ordered a lot, but I carefully wore gloves to eat the crabs, and I didn’t take pictures of other dishes at all.

A different crab dish to test your palate. Tried the spice crab stew and came with rice and side dishes. It's delicious and perfect during a cold weather. More to explore on their menu. Friendly staff.
Parking: Limited parking. Valet onsite.

My Taiwanese friends said they wanted to eat crab, so I went with them. The crab was delicious and I was very impressed with the crab stew. The server was so kind that I was even more impressed. Next time I come to LA, I will definitely visit again!

AMAZING FOOD AND SERVICE!
I heard about this place on TikTok and wanted to go so bad! It definitely lives up to the hype. Cute lil mom and pop shop but everything has such amazing flavor and I def recommend the spicy crab stew and spicy marinated crab.
My boyfriend kept spilling the marinade on his shirt so they brought him an apron and wipes LOL super sweet. Def try all the side dishes and the rice, it’s mixed with wild rice so it’s super yummy and nutty!

Before my trip to LA from Vancouver, I was looking for a soy sauce marinated crab restaurant as soon as I arrived. I heard from a friend that the marinated crab in LA was not only sacred but also delicious. I ordered marinated crab as soon as I arrived. It was really fresh and delicious. I enjoyed it. I should visit it every time I travel not kidding there is God damn good

We went this place after review.
The rating of the review is totally wrong. How they could rate 5 star.so disappeared
Poor food quality. 2 of us spend $140 (including tip) but still hungry. We have to go another restaurant to have a bit more other food.
They using small size crab to Soy gejang. It's not worth to charge $45. A pc.
And taste is too blend. We are 100 % experienced soy gejang eater.
This restaurant don't even know what is soy gejang.
Looks dirty side dish. Seems to me. Owner don't have restaurant experience. Or don't care.
Atmosphere is cheapest.
Overall, we got out with so disappointing.

Either yesterday or today I watched an Instagram reel about Koreatown raw soy marinated crab. It was from a located I had frequented before. Needless to say, I got home from work and I could not get raw spicy and soy marinated crab out of my head. I just had to have. I decided to skip my Monday night boxing class and instead eat a lot of Korean food. I Googled some places and wondered which one I should go to. I wondered if Postmates could deliver something to my apartment so that I don’t have to venture out to Koreatown again, especially at night. Postmates doesn’t deliver raw soy crab, but they did have spicy crabs. But I wanted BOTH. I decided to try Rich Crab. I had never been there before. I decided to order to go and then went to go pick it up myself. The parking is valet but I let him know I’m just picking up and he was real nice about it. I walked in and was greeted by two people. They were super nice and friendly. I took the food back home in my corvette in the trunk space. I got home and put my dog away in his crate. I opened up the food and everything was just so neatly and well packaged. One time I had ordered soy crab to go and the particular restaurant did a sloppy packaging job so I spilled in my corvette front passenger carpet floor and the smell lasted three or four car details. But nothing spilled from here as the packaging was meticulous. I had the combo B small. Seafood soup, kimchi pancake, soy crab, spicy crab, purple rice, side dishes. Everything tasted perfect. The Korean food at Rich Crab is no nonsense authentic Korean food. This is coming from a girl who grew up eating soy crab at home from a home recipe (grandma’s recipe from South Korea ChoongChungDo). I would get jars of soy crab and sometimes eat it daily until it was done so I have plenty of years of eating soy crab. There’s nothing else for me to say. The food here doesn’t pretend to be something it’s not. It’s not pretentious it’s just Korean and I respect it a lot. Needless to say I will be going here again. I even had to call them back to say thank you and I enjoyed the meal, I’ll leave a review and I’ll be back again. They were super nice and appreciative of the call too. I’m touched.
Staff were lovely, accommodated us late. The soy marinated crab tasted super fresh and very well seasoned, the soy marinade wasn’t overpowering the flavor of the meat. The bossam was incredibly tender, the best I’ve had so far in LA. Banchan was tasty. Highly recommend.

A friend and I came on a rainy evening because our usual Gejang place was closed - and by chance, it was the best thing we decided!
We ordered the set A combo, which came with spicy crab stew on a propane burner (it had two whole crabs, one blue one flower I think), kimchi jeon, one soy sauce crab and a small order of spicy marinated crabs. Every single dish, even the banchan were all so delicious (we ate all the banchan clean). Compared to our other haunt, their gejang had much less cinnamon but were so delicious in comparison. Flavorful and aromatic, but not so much so that it's too intense. I *need* to come back for their gejang, eating out of the shell was an experience. We also ordered an extra portion of spicy crabs because my friend fell in love with the sauce (it's like gochujang but a bit spicier, and more full bodied), and it was considerably bigger than the portion that came with the meal set, but we couldn't finish it anyway lol.
Since it was late (they close at 930pm, we got there a little after 830ish), it was just the old couple there but they were so so helpful and attentive despite the language barrier. They taught us to mix the rice in with the crab innards and to remember to scrape out the golden goodness from the insides, gave us extra banchan and so nicely packaged our leftovers to go. They even taught us how to say tasty in Korean - 맛있어요!!
We'll bring our friends back for sure - this place is family style so get ready to share!! This is probably replacing our old go-to cause it was just so good. Good food transcends words!!!!!
Parking: Valet - clerk came into the restaurant to ask for our ticket shortly after arriving, but we used a ride share to get here.

Best raw soy sauce marinated crab in LA. Not too soy sauce forward like the overhyped Master Ha’s. Well-balanced without being too salty or sweet. And the spicy stew is so 단백해! Made me nostalgic for Seoul. Mother-daughter duo that takes great care in your dining experience. I can feel the 손맞! Even my mom approved. Highly recommend for those that are tired of over-social media’d food recommendations. Give this a try
