My wife and I returned here for dinner last night after having moved away several years ago and the food was still amazing. Started with Caesar salad. My salmon was perfectly cooked and my wife’s scampi diavolo was spectacular. Highly recommend either dish. Service was excellent and the inside ambiance was great. 👍🏽

Overall not pleased with the food quality. Servers were polite and attentive and it is a nice outdoor eating vibe. We ordered the pappardelle bolognese and the Napoli pizza. Pasta felt like it was store bought. Noodles were too thin and sauce didn't feel like it was anything better than what I could get in a jar at the store. Serving size was good. Pizza was a travesty. It felt like a microwaved pizza. It was soggy and flavor was not there. The crust was not airy and crispy. The best part of our meal was the free bread. That was actually really good and we enjoyed it with the dipping sauce.
The final nail in the coffin was the 3% credit card fee. We ended up paying cash to avoid it as we didn't want to overpay any more than we already had for the quality of food.

The pasta was very poor. I feel the marinara sauce was from Costco. Forget give us bread and the price was very expensive.

Excellent takeaway experience at Ritrovo! The staff was so friendly and attentive when I arrived and they even confirmed the gluten free pasta order without me asking. It’s expensive but the food quality was high. Loved the beet and arugula/artichoke salads.

- Get some gelato and hang out in the park

Great food, good vibes! I had the tomato basil soup and a pepperoni and sausage pizza, they were really great! A good Italian restaurant in a clean and quiet neighborhood.

Everyone liked everything we had. The lasagna was evenly heated, without scorching hot spots or cool interiors). Others likes the salmon and ravioli dishes.
Parking: Street parking is free, but can get tight at some times. At 7pm on a Saturday, we parked by the park less than a block away, but it was one of the last spaces.

I'm willing to blame this experience on a new chef who hopefully will be taught how to cook pasta al dente. The pappardelle bolognese I was served was so overcooked as to be inedible--especially because it was so soon after my return from vacation in Italy--and there was not enough sauce. Shockingly, they don't serve coffee. Lesson learned: request an Americano--espresso with hot water--which they DO serve. I'm willing to give them another try, but not soon.
I like this place because of the food but the service is certainly a hit or miss. We made a reservation indoor because of my elderly mom and they overbooked the indoor seating area so we got booted into the patio which was really cold. My mom ended up coughing all night as a result. Service was also slow too. I was a former server in my prior life and it's really important to make sure you tend to your tables. I will still go because it's close by and has good food but the restaurant really needs to figure out how to accommodate for when they have multiple tables.
What a delightful surprise our experience was. The food was outstanding and the service was great. We were very pleasantly surprised. this is a wonderful neighborhood gem for Playa Vista.
