Homemade Japanese bakery goods located in the heart of La Brea neighborhood. I highly recommend the Salt Bread ($3.50), Curry Pan ($5.00) and Apricot Cream Cheese Danish ($5.00). Friendly staff.

Plenty of seating inside. No dedicated parking lot, street parking only.

Not doing any research, but the look and feel entering the bakery could already tell me it's been there for awhile. Yeah, that kind of local long-standing bakery which I bet are lots of people favorite to-go based on how long its existence has been. The interior was simple, classic, and could tell not much changes have been made.

Coming on Sunday afternoon, you might have guessed it right that the showcase was near being empty. Many have been sold out, but I was lucky they still had the chocolate almond croissant I wanna try.

The size was quite petite compared to common ones, but the generous chocolate filling and the deliciously crunchy almond layer on top would be called the winners! I also loved how it looked simple but the taste was simply comforting. I would surely go back to try more and next time would make it earlier in the day to get the complete selection!

Wouldn’t recommend the fruit sandwich.. The bread was definitely stale. The whipped cream and fruit inside were okay but the bread completely ruined the whole sandwich. I guess if you get it the day they actually make it then it could be good. Hojicha latte was really good though!

It’s hard to find but once you walk in, it’s a nice bakery with a small section to sit down. Japanese bakers /owners prepare Japanese style breads and pastries. Happened to find my favourite bread - azuki-whipping cream bread. Made my day.🥰

I really enjoy this little place - they have a large variety of breads and sweets. I also recommend the yummy chashu and tuna onigiri.

I fear this place won’t stay in business if people don’t keep coming through bc it’s very tucked away - so keep coming!

This place is incredibly cute, it's a little small with a lot of passion behind it. The service is very nice and they make you feel cozy. They also sell small tickets among they're bakery and coffee options. A there's some art to view as well.

It was fine. The guy who was working there seemed new. It was ok to give me a bag missing a handle. Was also missing an item but I guess I should have checked. Croissants were not very crispy.

Personally love savory bread and the mushroom and ham danish was tasty. I was too early and not all bread was ready on shelf.

Amazing Earl Grey scones and friendly service. After discovering that Roji Bakery offered Earl Grey pastries, we had to give it a try. We were hoping to get the Earl Grey rolls, but they were sold out, so we opted for the scone instead—and it was phenomenal. We also tried the matcha croissant and raspberry almond croissant, both tasty, but the Earl Grey scone easily outshined them. The service was nice, and while the prices were a bit on the high side, the scone was absolutely worth it.

Cute Japanese fusion bakery on La Brea. Tables on the left and bar seating on the right. AC was on, but not strong enough for my preference so I took my order to go. It was 83 degrees out and felt like 78 inside; if it was cooler, the atmosphere would be 4 or 5 stars. Service, not super friendly, but they did their job.

I was lured in by photos of their almond chocolate croissant. I thought the almond shell was going to be reminiscent of the pineapple crust on a Taiwanese pineapple bun. Instead, the outer edges are soft and chewy - the burnt pieces stuck to my teeth. And each bite was confusing - so soft and lacked the distinct texture of croissant layers. In short, this croissant isn’t for me, but I wouldn’t be opposed to going back to try something else on a cooler day.

Rounding up to 3 stars for better potential on a cooler day.

I was really excited to try this place as it's within walking distance and the reviews were great. I ordered a number of things (basque cheesecake, lavender shortbread cookie, choc/walnut cookie, edamame bread, and mushroom quiche). I don't think any of them are worth the effort. The basque cheesecake was one of the poorest quality ones I've had, you can't really taste the lavender unless you try really hard, the choc walnut cookie was so dense and old tasting, the edamame bread was soft but just not special and i never got the mushroom quiche. it didnt arrive (i placed my order via uber eats). there are much better bakeries within the area.
