Amazing Earl Grey scones and friendly service. After discovering that Roji Bakery offered Earl Grey pastries, we had to give it a try. We were hoping to get the Earl Grey rolls, but they were sold out, so we opted for the scone instead—and it was phenomenal. We also tried the matcha croissant and raspberry almond croissant, both tasty, but the Earl Grey scone easily outshined them. Cute Japanese fusion bakery on La Brea. Tables on the left and bar seating on the right. AC was on, but not strong enough for my preference so I took my order to go. It was 83 degrees out and felt like 78 inside; if it was cooler, the atmosphere would be 4 or 5 stars. Service, not super friendly, but they did their job.

I was lured in by photos of their almond chocolate croissant. I thought the almond shell was going to be reminiscent of the pineapple crust...

Come here when the line a republique is nuts. Decent coffee drinks but the real star is the Japanese baked goods. The lemon blueberry scone and egg sando was a little slice of heaven bringing me back to my trip to Japan… so good!
