I've heard about Roscoe's for years (movies, shows, etc.). I finally got a chance to try this place. Black owned and tasty food! I was admired that President Obama graced this place, and they even named a meal option after him, lol. The service was good, the food was good, the drinks were good. I definitely will be returning next time I am out in L.A.

Roscoe’s house of chicken 'n waffles is a west coast soul food staple. I come here at least once per trip. Get the Obama special for breakfast. Their grits and coffee are also great. (Make sure u request syrup and condiments) If you go for dinner get the chicken greens, cornbread and candied yams. The breakfast potatoes smothered in gravy is amazing make sure u try those!

This long time LA Iconic spot goes through a it’s up and downs, sometime they are on point and other times sadly missing on all points, however as of late they’ve been knocking it out the park. I stopped in yesterday for the standard, fried breast, wing and two fluffy waffles. The food came quick, hot and perfectly prepared. This chicken is southren style, lightly coated, generously seasoned and moist to the bone. The waffle wass sweet and happily soaked up the butter and hot syrup i slathered over each inch of it. I left full, happy and satisfied that my favorite chicken spot was once again on point.

Visited 2 Sundays ago. Food is still great. I don’t recall the waffles being so tasty. Service was slow & our waitress rarely checked in. They were pretty busy but they sat us immediately. I tried a side of chili and it was okay.Still a place to get good soul food. I recommend.

This was by far one of the best combination of my favorite foods! Waffle and chicken !! Yes please ! Loved the authenticity of the place and the decoration too. Loved the paintings. At first I wanted to go for the Obama special ( yes, the former president dined here) but then I saw their classic option and it seemed even better ! ( three pieces of tender chicken and waffle served with butter and maple syrup). Friendly staff too

There are a few Roscoe's, this one on Pico Blvd. in Mid City Los Angeles is our favorite. We eat there whenever we are near and each and every time it is great. It can get crowded on weekends for dinner hour, so we try to go early or after 8 pm.Parking is great in their free lot. The security they have there is super. It is an older Roscoe's and the inside sort of shows it, but they keep it so very clean and it just reminds me of home--we have been going their for years and the wait staff and cooks are s nice.Whatever you order will be great. It is all made to order and it is served hot and the way you ordered it. Some of the staff have worked there a long time. The cashier is also a joy to be near, so friendly and kind.We love everything there and have had the entire menu. Our favorite is their fried chicken and waffles. They also have the best mac and cheese in town as well as biscuits in gravy, greens and yummy corn bread.Their prices are reasonable and you are never rushed. You will be comfortable here and you will leave full. Go there.

Food - I ordered one of the original must have items the Carol C Special (fried breast and waffle) with a side of candy yams and cornbread. The chicken was seasoned well, fried right, and juicy, can't ask for more. The waffle was a thin but the batter was tasty and once the syrup hits it you can't stop eating it. Be ready for the cornbread it is a large slice, you can share it, tasted great. The candied yams were great, baked right and the syrup was sweet and near perfect. At the table we also ordered the Roscoe's waffle tenders ( 3 chicken tenders and a waffle), the tenders were good, the Obama's special (3 wings and a waffle) the wings were really good, Natalie's special (2 waffles). Drinks - I had the Lisa delight (lemonade and iced tea), one of the best Arnold Palmers I've had at a restaurant, FYI it comes with unsweetened iced tea, I asked for mine with the sweetened. We also ordered the Sunrise (lemonade and orange juice), I would not have thought it but it was really good and the Eclipse (lemonade, orange juice, and fruit Punch) which was good. Service - Sheryl was our server, great recommendations and great service. Location - W. Pico location, on a busy street with a parking lot on the side and back. Ambiance - Lots of space/seating in this large diner style location with lots of pictures of famous folks who have eaten here and artists and black art. White brick walls with brown wood panel ceilings and almost all booth seating.

DAY OLD CHICKEN. I ordered two thighs, greens, and candied yams from the Roscoes on Pico for pick-up. The chicken was obviously left over from yesterday. It was hard and not edible. I’m a loyal customer. I am so disappointed in you Roscoes. Shame on you. I wouldn’t serve this chicken to my dog.

What a great experience! The staff was outstanding, the food came fast hot and delicious. So glad we came late night as it is a small location and I can just imagine it is packed during regular hours! Careful though as they say open till midnight but the last like 1.25 hours are carry out or delivery only.

Finally made it to the famous Roscoes Chicken and Waffles in LA. I waited so long to go to this restaurant. I have heard so much about it from friends and television of course. Let me first say I loved it! We drove by another location, but they were shooting a movie so we couldn’t go inside. I was like put me in as an extra. Lol. So we drove to the original location on Pico. The kids and I enjoyed chicken and waffles. My husband had greens and chicken. We loved the cornbread. The food was good to me, my husband and the boys. My daughter wasn’t a fan. The chicken was cooked to perfection and the waffles was sweet, just like I like it. I will say it’s not for everyone, but it’s worth the experience. I had to be fair and give 4 stars because my daughter felt they gave way too much butter and syrup which made the waffle soggy. She likes her waffles crunchy. So if that’s you then make sure you specify your preference.

Last place I ate at before leaving LA and it was the best. Fried chicken was excellent. Both juicy and crispy. Either the butter or the waffle had extra sweetness with a little hint of cinnamon. Waffle was good too. Loved their pepper sauce. Great prices, portions and staff. Would eat here weekly if I lived in LA.

Roscoe's Chicken & Waffles holds a special place in my heart. It always has and always will make you feel like you're at home. Everything is prepared with love and you feel it in every bite. My recommendation if it's your first time, get the #13 (waffle & breast) and ANY of the delicious sides (the macncheese is king tho). Grab a delicious sunrise, enjoy the music and have a blessed day.

Visited on my recent trip to LA from Phoenix. My party and I had such a great meal. The atmosphere is chill and makes you feel right at home. I had the Thigh and Waffle and Mac and Cheese and another favorite (not listed on the menu) is the Chicken Chili Cheese Fries. Soooo tasty! Roscoe's never misses! Also, I have to say the music that was playing inside and outside of the restaurant was nostalgic, and just made the experience so much more memorable. Thank you!

Obviously the fried chicken strips with hotsauce dipped in maple syrup is the bomb. The greens also very tasty.

2.17.22 | Roscoe’s was delicious! No words can describe this yum moment. This was our first time going. FYI you need to have a vaccine card to get into the restaurant or other items. It was quaint but it felt very much like home. Our server was very knowledgeable and honest. We both ordered the #9 now called The Obama and my drink you must try!!!!!!! We also ordered a piece of sweet potato pie to go. Get in the van and go!
