They did it again! I brought an idea in and once again I was blown away with the design outcome. The flavor was perfect too. I requested two cakes one large and one small for an angry birds themed. I told them I want the angry birds on one as if they were aiming towards the green bad pigs on another cake. I told them that I really wanted the slingshot and tnt boxes incorporated somehow and they sure did! They are truly the best at everything they do. Reasonable prices for a great design and great taste. Cake was fluffy on the inside with fresh fruit. Can’t wait until my next order.

Great little Bakery, you can walk in and pick up something just because. There cakes are well known in the community. And you don't have to find a specialty store for one item. They have cakes, cookies, pastry cooked fresh and ready to go. Very happy there are around.

I've been getting cake from Ruby's for as long as I can remember. They are a staple in my family and I love that they have been consistent throughout the years. We always get half strawberry half banana with either chocolate cake or white cake. Can never go wrong with them.

We got a mango cake here for a birthday last minute and it was just okay. It was $28 (cash only) and probably could have served 6-8 people one slice each. There was a lot of whipped cream filler with not that much cake, which was a little disappointing. The cake itself wasn't as moist or pillowy soft as I was hoping. The taste was pretty good, but unfortunately a miss on assembly and texture. Would probably only go back if I was in a pinch.

This review for Eagle Rock's Ruby Bakery is long overdue. I've sampled many of their birthday cakes over the decades from various family & friends' gatherings. I've always found them to be really good cakes. They're never dry and are always a hit at parties.Recently, I wanted a birthday cake for my mom. I asked my lady to call and place the order for a cake that would feed 15-20 people. I wanted it to be a chocolate cake that was half banana and half strawberry. She ordered a 1/4 sheet sized cake after consulting with Ruby Bakery staff. They were very helpful.Needless to say, the cake was a hit with my entire family who had it and sampled both flavors of it. But more importantly, my mom enjoyed her birthday cake a lot. The cake was moist and the chocolate cream was delicious. The strawberry was great and so was the banana. I think, for me, I liked the strawberry a little bit more than the banana. But both were delicious. One detail I've always liked on their cakes are the shaved almonds all along the sides of the entire cake. So good.Metered street parking out front. Located on Eagle Rock Blvd near the intersection with Colorado Blvd. Staff was friendly. Bakery showroom floor was well kept. Display cases were clear and easy to peruse. We also purchased birthday candles and butterflies. They were good but just too sweet for me.

Couldn't have asked for a more beautiful cake for my bridal shower. I got so many compliments from friends from out of town who had never had Ruby Bakery cakes. They're fresh, light, just the right amount of sweetness. Not to mention how many compliments I got on how beautiful they looked. My mom has been getting all my cakes here since I was born.

Everybody loves the cake from Ruby's! I have been coming here for years to get cakes for special occasions and birthday celebrations. Each time I bring in my design inspiration and they always do an amazing job replicating and creating the perfect cake. Kids love their whip cream frosting. It's light and airy and not sickly sweet. This year I made fondant shells and bought a mermaid tail from Michael's to finish the look. I highly recommend them for your next party.

My family discovered this bakery when we lived in Eagle Rock in the mid 2000s and it has been my go-to for birthday/celebratory cake ever since. The strawberry cake is absolutely perfect! I personally very much dislike frosting, but theirs is light and more of a whipped cream sort of texture and flavor. Coupled with that fluffy white cake and fresh strawberries, it's perfect! I've also tried the chocolate cake and it's just as good. Light, not overly sweet. Delicious.I stopped in there last week on a whim to pick up a cake for a small lunch thing at work and everyone ate it up! It was also nice that they have some cakes ready to go without pre-ordering. However, there are so many tasty fruit options when you pre-order that I wasn't aware off (uhh, peach? Must try next time!)Cash only, but very reasonable prices. I got a cake that served 10-ish people for less than 30 dollars.
