Atmosphere was A+ everyone having a great time. Dined outdoors but was very comfortable. Service was detached and just a little impersonal, was expecting something more on par with Bestia/Bavel but maybe that was my mistake. Food was good but also not up to the level of those other restaurants. All of the meat dishes were just very bland and the dips they were served with were not interesting enough to save them. The lobster skewer was A+ but at $35 it should be. Maybe the most disappointing was the dessert which was just sweet on sweet (a banana cake that had no banana flavor.) their desserts at the DTLA restaurants are so remarkable that this was big letdown. Overall, way overpriced and not as well executed as similar food you can find all over the city. Paying a huge premium for the atmosphere here.

I’ve heard about this restaurant for a while and I finally got the opportunity to dine there. Was blown away! The 18hour short rib is divine! Highly recommended Saffy’

Went here once for dinner. I don’t think it was too long after they had opened. The service was great and the food was definitely very good. We went for dinner - it was probably a Wednesday or Thursday. The thing that I remember the most about it though, unfortunately, was just how insanely loud it is in there. Be prepared to yell at whomever you’re dining with so they can hear you. The entire interior is concrete. Everybody is jabbering away and the sound bounces around and soon everybody is screaming so they can hear themselves.

I was never blown away with Bestia nor Bavel, so I was a tad cautious coming to Saffy’s; but it turned out to be my favorite of the bunch. My friend and I only ate lighter, vegetarian starters for our dinner visit, but I’ll definitely come back to try some of the main attraction meat dishes. We had the hummus with thick slices a delicious challah loaf, a clean and tasty interpretation of tabbouleh, and tempura mushrooms which were lovely. We also had the cardamom and cacao bitters old fashioned which was great. Finally, the vibe was popping and the energy of the space was consistent throughout all of dinner.Vegetarian options: Hummus, tabbouleh, tempura mushrooms, and more.

The food is just as great as Bavel, but the menu stands out on its own with unique differences. Don't miss the scallop crudo, gem Caesar, spicy lobster skewers and raspberry dessert. :)

The food is delicious, but the noise level is deafening. I could hardly hear my husband even though we were seated close to each other. Although the service was pleasant, I do not like to have to order everything at once and rely on the restaurant's timing. Too many dishes come almost together, making us feel bombarded with too much food all at once. Also, Not everyone shares every dish and this kind of service demands that.

One of the best restaurants in Los Angeles. Perfectly balanced cocktails. Brilliant food combinations. Highly attentive staff. No other Mediterranean food in the city compares.Vegetarian options: Limited vegan options.

This was 1 of the bests meals we had in a long time. The meat was tender and full of favor. every dish was unique and amazing in its own way... the service was friendly and knowledgeable and the drinks were delicious If I could give this place more stars I would... just phenomenal!

Love love love it. Great staff, amazing food. Yes it's loud and a bit hard to hear your fellow diners but it's still so delicious and the staff it's so top it's absolutely a wonderful evening.

I gave Saffys a one star review because this restaurant is the embodiment of cultural appropriation! The menu is Arab cuisine all the while it is owned by Israelis who have stolen a culture that is not theirs! Please don’t come here and go to an Arab owned restaurant!

One of the four members of our party was going to be almost exactly 15 minutes late (in the rain coming from across town— the rest of us were there more or less right on time), and the pressure from the host to place a total order, and quickly, was a little intense for the level of experience one might otherwise reasonably expect at this price point. That said, the food was excellent, our waitress was much easier going, and it was a fun night.

Every appetizer we ordered was outstanding falafel ,cauliflower , tabouli and hammus ful with Chala bread. The shishlik kabob beef was excellent but I wish the waitress told us that the chicken kabob was not breast but thigh with skin which is disappointing and unbecoming of the reputation of SAFY's it really tasted BAD The noise level was unbearable and we didn't want to stay for desserts because our ears were hurting
