This used to be my favorite sushi spot but over the years prices have gone up (which I can understand) but quantity has gone down by almost half ( rolls used to be 8 bites, now 5) and quality is inconsistent.

Visiting from out of town and decided to stop in for dinner on my way to the airport. The sushi was very fresh and excellent quality. Friendly service and a warm, inviting atmosphere. Will return again!

I hope this place sticks around a while. It's my favorite Japanese restaurant in the Los Angeles area.

Great food, excellent sushi, but expensive. We only had sushi for two, a normal amount, not a lot and nothing exotic, no alcohol, and bill was $100 with tax and tip.

This is such a gem in the Venice Mar Vista Culver City ish area. The sushi is consistently tasty, fresh, and well portioned. When I asked for a customized roll, they accommodated my request. The roll came out better than expected. Their Toro is good. My absolute favorite is their halibut sushi. It's incredible.

Unagi was incredible, the portion of fish on the nigiri was great. The rice was ok and the fish was pretty decent. Everything else was pretty mediocre. Maybe a bit over $50/person after tip

Unbelievable sushi place while being an unassuming neighborhood spot without any of the pretension/overkill that is common in LA. Huge, generous pieces of fish that are the perfect texture and taste. The sashimi is bountiful and the sushi menu is extensive - the seared tuna and yellowtail are my favorites. The sake is also amazing. These guys never miss. Service is fast and efficient and the prices are truly unbeatable in west LA.

Ordered take out, and was not provided utensils or soy sauce. I specifically asked prior to leaving if soy sauce was included inside my bag, which they responded yes, but were not. Made the experience eating very poor as I did not have utensils where I was at while eating and the sushi did not taste as good without soy sauce. The sushi cuts itself did not seem premium either.

Yelp and google information says closing time is at 10pm on Sat. We arrived at 8:50pm and told we needed to order right away as the kitchen is closing. Then the waiter forgot to enter my dinner selection, so by the time I remimded him that I was still waiting for my dish, he said it was no longer coming as the kitchen was closed. I undersrand mistakes happen, but as a business model what do you do to fix it. This may be a unique situatuon, but I was hoping they would go out of their way to make it right for their customers. But unfortunately they didn't. So not the most pleasant experience and the dish my wife got was just ok. In this economic climate, there is no room for poor customer service and mediocre food. There are other local joints that understand this and should be suported. Sakura, on the other hand, is not one of those places worth supporting.
