I went here for the second time last night. I would recommend this place for a Sunday afternoon brunch because of the lovely outdoor atmosphere shaded by mature trees. It’s particularly nice in the late afternoon in the setting sun. Now for the unfortunate part. This is food that’s supposed to be Mexican but isn’t and is trying so hard to be elevated but isn’t. As a lifelong fan of pozole, it was my pleasure to eat one of the best ever pozoles at Salazar, thanks to our wonderful server, Steve. He practically made me order it and I’m glad he did. Slow roasted pork, perfect balance of spices, and perfectly tender hominy. Order it! Pair it with their savory mezcal margarita. Everything here is made by hand fresh including things like their mayonnaise. Compliments to the chef.
