Taking advantage of these few days of rain to have some warm comfort food. This ramen place came through with flying colors. They have a White Ramen, a Black Ramen, a Red ramen and a few more, including a Spicy Cheese ramen. They all looked so good but opted for the Black Ramen with pork Belly and added shitske mushrooms. The serving size was decent but I finished the whole thing!
I am not an expert in Japanese cuisine but as far as I can tell this is authentic. Great to see authentic Japanese restaurants in Boyle Heights. There are only a few left these days. The restaurant was busy but not too crowded on the Saturday afternoon I visited and everyone was thoroughly enjoying the food as. The casual family vibe.
The service was quick, attentive and not over eating. Well done!
