Although the food was creatively prepared and delicious it was overpriced for tha size of the portions. Service was great , attentive and couteous.

Awesome food and ambience. Host not that welcoming. Server did not quite match quality of food.

High end finishes thought the restaurant. The services is first grade and the food is perfect. Price is a bit on the high end; but overall good selection.

Pricey, but well worth it. Quality of food is over the top! Plus it's money for Chef Andres and his worldwide relief efforts! I'd go so far as to say this is a bucket list dining experience. And you can think of getting tickets to a concert at Disney Hall or admission to MOCA or the Broad Museum which are all within walking distance there on Grand Avenue.

It is on a great rooftop location with an amazing view. you can see Disney Hall, City hall and surroundings. Food was very delicious. We choose the prefix menu and liked everyone. Great service with professional staff. Can't wait to go back

Food is exceptional. It's great to have a central, downtown option for fine dining again. Each of the appetizers was remarkable. Mains were good, too. This is the third time we have gone & loved it every time.

Sebastian our waiter was outstanding! Everything he described and recommended was spot on! Fantastic holiday girlfriend dinner. Lamb melted in your mouth. The crackers with olive oil and tomatoes--who knew something could taste so fine and light!!! Delicious wine selection.

The food was delicious, fresh, imaginative! Our waiter was amazing - made great recommendations, kept track of our long list of food allergies, and got us out in time to make our performance at REDCAT. All with a smile!

My wife and I dined at San Laurel for the first time last night, the setting was absolutely beautiful, modern and chic without being over the top. The staff were courtesy and full of energy. The wine and cocktail list were full of surprises and the prices were reasonable for DTLA. The menu and food stole the show, we order the Jamon and bread, wow show-stopper, a must try! We also had the Hiramasa Crudo and Lubina, the crudo was fresh and light and beyond tasty; the Lubina was the star of the show however, it was light, and crispy on the edges and well-balanced without needing too much sauce/spices. thanks for starting out our night in such a great manner! 5 stars!!!

San Laurel and the staff there are fabulous. Very hi quality food, great people watching. Not inexpensive, but not ridiculous. it was high end dining experience with a lot of nice touches (GF cheesecake) so worth the price.

The food and atmosphere were excellent. Be aware- Sunday Brunch "Has a hard stop at 11am."

Attractive restaurant space. Our server was great, helped us choose menu items that would be available in a shorter time frame because we had theatre tickets that evening, served us promptly. The food was good and the presentation was nice, but portions were very small- about 1/2 the size of normal starters and entrees, so it felt like a rip off. My scallops came to the table cold. I might go there for pre-theatre drinks, but I would not go there again for dinner.
