Love this stalwart cheese Mecca in the heart of Silverlake. I’ve been coming here since the early 2000s. Great selection of cheeses and dinner hosting supplies. The owner who I believe is named Glenn - often friendly - sometimes grumpy - a real person (like me) with a wealth of knowledge about his wares. Highly recommend! also conveniently located near to grocery stores.

I stopped in to buy a holiday gift box that included a $50 gift card. My shopping experience was lovely and I was really impressed by the attention to detail as the shop associates were packaging up my purchases. The gift card was placed inside of the gift box and tied up. When I got home I realized that I needed to address the gift certificate to the recipient and upon taking the certificate out of the box, happened to flip it over where written on the back was an expiration date. The gift certificate expires in three months. This important detail was never mentioned to me during my shopping or check-out experience and had I not noticed it myself, I wouldn’t have known to tell my relatives to make sure to spend this within a relatively short window of time. I’ve never seen an expiration date on a gift certificate so I called the shop and the associate who answered confirmed the certificate’s expiration. At the very least this policy should be mentioned directly to the customer when they are purchasing a gift certificate and should also be clearly displayed on the front of the card in legible font, not on the back! This unfortunately has left me with an uneasy feeling at the end of my first experience with Say Cheese.

We celebrated our younger son’s birthday in this place. It was amazing! All the kids had so much fun and the staff was awesome!!! Highly recommended!!!

This. Is your new happy place, Cheesemonger is amazing. I tried a flower infused cheese perfect with Pears and Grapes, "Tomma auz Fleurs" wonderful wonderful. Thank you, "Say Cheese" for a touch of Europe in Silver Lake.

Incredible cheese selection and friendly staff but $20 sandwiches were underwhelming. Dry. Go to Wax Paper for a sandwich worth $20 and the wait.

Staff was super nice. Some popular/more famous brands of cheese are marked up almost double but its nice to support local business like this one. Really great selection from what I saw. Baguettes sort of have a more sub roll texture but was good just not very flaky or springy.
