Love this stalwart cheese Mecca in the heart of Silverlake. I’ve been coming here since the early 2000s. Great selection of cheeses and dinner hosting supplies. The owner who I believe is named Glenn - often friendly - sometimes grumpy - a real person (like me) with a wealth of knowledge about his wares. Highly recommend! also conveniently located near to grocery stores.
I stopped in to buy a holiday gift box that included a $50 gift card. My shopping experience was lovely and I was really impressed by the attention to detail as the shop associates were packaging up my purchases. The gift card was placed inside of the gift box and tied up. When I got home I realized that I needed to address the gift certificate to the recipient and upon taking the certificate out of the box, happened to flip it over where written on the back was an expiration...
52 years in the neighborhood and slept on by so many, including myself, until I wanted in.
