So far the best fried chicken I've ever had that is so good and affordable! The place is so clean. The girl needs more smiling though, but she's fine as it is.

If you're craving a mouthwatering feast at a casual spot look no further. Sea Salt Fish & Chips on Hollywood Blvd. in Los Angeles! The Fish & Chips is a must try. Golden fish with a crispy batter enveloping incredibly large pieces. This is not your average fish and chips joint - it's a whole new level of deliciousness! They cater to all cravings with Korean Fried Chicken Wings, hushpuppies, onion rings, curly fries, popcorn shrimp, jalapeno poppers - and even mini churros for dessert! Shrimp and fish tacos are on the menu too. Don't just take my word for it - grab your fam or friends, head over and experience for yourself. You'll be joining the ranks of those who can't stop raving. Outdoor seating is available with a very casual vibe and service is very efficient.

The place is clean, food is not that wow. Fish is full of oil... food is overpriced for what you get, 14-20 per dish. It's freshly made, and customer service is excellent due to a young lady at the front. My rating would be 1-2 stars but customer service makes it a 3 stars. Work on pricing. Most people can't afford these prices.

Yesterday, I swung by SEA SALT to try their fish and chips. I order a dinner called "The Hook" which comes with two pieces of fish and some french fried "chips." I'm pretty hungry as I'm eating only one meal a day as part of a goofy attempt at losing weight and I elect to try the shrimp another time seeing as I had a terrific saltado de camarones at my favorite Peruvian restaurant the previous evening...I put in the order and pay for my meal upfront (something like $14 before tax and tip). The shy but lovely girl takes my order but when it comes time to deliver it? She's mistakenly brought me the meal with the two shrimp. After offering me to get some fish, I tell her that I hate to see hot food go to waste and I'll just eat it. She says I can come back another time for the fish which I think is a fine solution. So, today, the following day, I decide to go in and make good on what is, essentially, my coupon for two pieces of fried fish. I go in tonight and see the very same adorable girl and smart looking young gentleman and learn that they - "Shaylynn and Richard" - really do run the place all by themselves despite it being owned by Richard's family. Seems Richard does the behind-the-counter cooking and Shaylynn handles the orders, waitressing to those who elect to eat in as well as the preparation of the to go orders, what looks to be a large part of the business here. They only took the place over last October from the previous owners and those folks bought out the old venerable H. Salt Fish & Chip Co that used to be here and lasted in the location for like 80 years. Looking at these two, talking with them both some, I learn they are both like 20 years old! Impressive. That these young adults are, essentially, operating their very first restaurant all by themselves, I want to be kind with this review but straightforward all the same. Towards that end, I'll say the fish and chips are very good! Light and flakey, evenly cut pieces in sheets, I like the texture and mild flavor enough. Hitting it w salt and vinegar and lemon and tartar sauce helps bring it all to life too. I perused other reviews before coming here and a few said it's not oily at all but that's not the case, not tonight at least. There's a little oil but not so much as to be off-putting.The real standout are the french fries. They are golden and just the right texture, hot out of the fryer and doused over with just the right amount of a seasoning salt they employ that reminds me of Lawry's Seasoning Salt. Really good and they serve a generous portion with the food. Finally, the shrimp, which, again, having had the best shrimp dinner at NATALIE Peruvian Restaurant most recently and it still being on my mind, I may be a little rough here but the shrimp are not my thing. They are just surrounded with the batter and need something more than the nice homemade cocktail sauce that comes with them. For my money? Stick to the fish and chips. This is no longer a beer battered English iteration of the fish and chip dish I so love, one that I can get at Robin Hood Tavern on the occasion I'm willing to get in my car and drive 15 miles to get it w a nice pint of English suds. But, for 3 miles away from my home and to patronize these nice young folks making a first go of it in the restaurant business? I'll return to patronize them again and enjoy their brand of fish and chips too because it's solid.

You are better to go to the super market and make them fresh yourself if your into cooking or just buy from the frozen section at Vons,Waste of Money.

This is by far the "best" fish and chips I've been to in East Hollywood! The fish actually are flavorful, the chips (fries) also taste great, it has seasoning salt on them. The tartar sauce and malt vinegar is just right, nothing fancy. Some places try to make their own, but I'm a simple guy and want nothing fancy. Service is always good, good customer service. The place itself is nice and clean, there is seating outside too, so it's an excellent place for food and service!
