You know a spot is good when the only menu displayed has faded photos of various dishes with no descriptions or dish titles. Only the real ones know. Every time I come here, I meet a local who’s been coming here since the 80s or 90s and it is so comforting to know that a place like this exists. Love the food, owner, consistency, quality, and history of this place.Run by one guy and one guy only, make sure to be patient while waiting for your order if it gets packed, maybe clean up the tables around you while you wait. Doesn’t hurt to help.

Don't let the exterior of this cafe fool you. Sure, it may look like a cafe in the middle of a run-down neighborhood, but the foods and service are spectacular. My friend and I came here to eat some brunch and the sweet old man was very kind enough to provide us awesome services as well as some delicious homemade brownies! Not to mention we ordered a lot of food and the pricing was still very reasonable. I will definitely come back here again to try some other meals on the menu!

Mr. Lee was wonderful. Good food decent price. Doesn't look like a restaurant or a place you would think to go. But I was in the area. I left happy. I got goodies to go too. Thanks Mr. Lee.

The food and service is 10/10 !!!! I've been coming here for 20 years and the food still taste as good as it did the first time !!! It honestly taste a little better !!! Kenny is the sweetest man ever and he'll remember you after two times lol. I get the spicy chicken and shrimp over noodles with extra spicy sauce.

Best place to eat EVER! They have delicious and hot food with the BEST Teriyaki sauce I've had in my entire life! Great service quick and easy! It's a very quiet atmosphere for you to enjoy your food in peace. Will always be coming to this place until the day I die! Thank you for all the sticking around!

This is probably the most intimidating restaurant in existence because it exists primarily on a dead commercial street, but once you go in a nice older Asian man will greet you with excitement and show you a picture of the menu for you to choose. Prices are extremely reasonable and you get big "home cooked meal" portions with a nostalgic taste to boot. Recently been slightly renovated with, but overall a very utilitarian place. AFAIK cops also frequent this place, which is probably why the shops feels safe even in the rough nature of the surrounding area

i am writing this review immediately after shoveling down some of the best thai spicy chicken with fried rice served by the most adorable grandpa lee. the restaurant was simple and clean. it even appeared closed from the outside, but he warmly ushered us in at the entrance. he operated the entire restaurant completely solo. we ordered the meat platter which included beef, pork, chicken, and shrimp sautéed over a bed of chow mein. this was the classic comfort food we were looking for to start our day visiting museums (we're visiting from nyc). the portions were sizeable and filled us easily. we ordered thai iced teas to complement our food and the entire meal warmed our hearts. we eventually packed away our leftovers - it was that good! when we asked for the check, grandpa lee asked, "leaving so soon?" which only made me want to stay! really feels like you're visiting your own grandparents (as other reviewers suggested). he dropped off some brownies to us for dessert and packed us 3 persimmons for the road. all of this food only cost $31. he should charge more! remember it is cash only!! please visit grandpa lee and support his small business!
