I thought it was just going to be typical bar fare during happy hour, with a gorgeous view. I was pleasantly surprised. Their sliders, bruschetta, eggplant balls, polenta and mussels were so tasty. I got so much value out of our visit. Our server Diego was wonderful as well. I originally heard about Settecento from Instagram, and now that I know it deserves the hype, I am excited to bring friends and loved ones! Such a fun place. Good food, great vibes, killer view.
Had lunch interview with strategic candidate. I had great confidence Settecento DTLA would be a great place to meet -- impress the candidate, provide setting where we could have a good conversation. Our waiter was great -- helpful, but not at all intrusive. Overall outstanding experience and I look forward to returning (and hiring this candidate!!!).
My date and I had a dinner reservation at this place on a Tuesday night. The host sat us right away when we arrived. The service went down hill from there. Not one waiter came to our table for water or to take our order until we flagged someone down. The waiter we flagged down (even he seemed confused on who would serve our table) was okay - he gave us the bare minimum service, no type of friendliness or conversation, which is okay, but in the service industry, at least pretend...
