The best whiskey sour I've ever had. I love going to this place. The atmosphere is chill but it can also get crowded. I would def recommend. Plus they have pool!

this is a such a cool vibe! i'm not a whiskey connoisseur but any means, but i did try a whiskey sour that was quite delicious. the vibe was intimate and cool with beautiful selection of whiskey and other drinks. the bartenders were very helpful and gave great recommendations. i didn't love how crowded it was or all of the stairs on the way up. also the guys at the pool tables were a bit obnoxious and there were surrounding guys who were catcalling and told me to thank him as he handed me a stool? it was very odd, but that's not the fault of the bar. anyway this is a cool and old-timey vibe!

I have been coming here for over 15 years. I just popped in for a night cap with a buddy. Some of their allocated bourbons were way over priced, but I get the secondary/allocated market game. 111 dollars for two shots of Bookers. This bottle is available at almost any decent liquor store for less than that. I'm shocked at what this place has become.

Top notch whiskey bar on the very top! And very much open to all, which puts it as high as you can get for this gent. Located on 7th Street & Grand Avenue with a very outside streamline look and feel that your almost easily walk by if not for the noticeable neon Stag Sign hanging above the entrance just off a small alley to a neighboring bar I can never remember the name of. You'll know you're also in the right spot as there is a door person outside downstairs and they do card [ID - driver's license, state ID, passport or passport card are all valid, I believe they might accept a photo copy as well] This goes for everyone or just about everyone regardless of age, which has always been a thing that I respect and they have the right to do. From there you'll pass the formerly Mas Malo, V DTLA, and a few others now Bar CDMX. You'' ascend the staircase... A nice journey and take it all in. A dark earthy den of whiskey, comfort and leisure. Deep greens, browns and what one would expect an epic lodge-esque study meets recreation space to feel as well as look like. Display case of bottles just before their front door into the main tavern is impressive, but not as impressive as the scotches, bourbons and whiskeys along their massive bar wall. Popping in for some cocktails and chill, treating my guy to some of his favorite pastime activities including whiskey, cigars and spending time with each other. I hadn't been in for a few years and he had never been, so it was really cool to enjoy a truly great afternoon together taking it all in. We spent most of our Grand adventure on their enclosed patio terrace space just past the billiard tables (one door for entrance and another for exit)... Oh... Yes, there's pool! TVs, music, and a fun mix of people. We met some nice guys including one who just broke up with his girlfriend and poured his out to us. Hang in there champ! There was plenty of friendly strangers to aid in cheering him up. As well as plenty of seating and space to hang out at the bar, a few cool well lit corners with padded seating, as well as some limited spots inside. They have live music/bands during the week at night from 10AM to 1PM, typically Monday through Thursdays. Cleanest restrooms in DTLA by far! Above and beyond drinks, signatures (cocktails that is) and just about everything you'd expect or can dream of. Cigars are available for purchase here, but you can also bring your own. Toki High Ball is one refreshing drink and the Gold Rush is a classic, both on their nightly happy hour (which goes until 8pm). All their menu drinks align with a picture a the glass your beverage will be made in... Definitely enjoy the mixology show! Lastly... If you open a tab, make sure you close it as they give you your card back immediately after you open it or for any transaction. Which can be a little different than some places. Q Tip: Inquiry about Bar Jackalope (speakeasy). Wheelchair accessible through the main street entrance/ground floor. For questions/inquiries they're very great at responding both in-person and online. It's DTLA parking (lots and/or street) and transit accessible (Go Metro).

What a great time this was. There was a live band playing. Awesome drinks here. Awesome beer on tap. The highlight was the $2/game pool. Hard to come by these days. Great booths to sit in and good music you can't go wrong. The vanilla cream beer was good.

Step into this whiskey bar for a great atmosphere and strong, flavorful cocktails at affordable prices. It's the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy quality drinks without breaking the bank. Service was excellent. Cheers to good times ahead!

Doorman turned our whole group away because one guy was wearing discrete black athleisure slacks, calling them sweats. Nowhere on the yelp page or website does it even say dress-code enforced or mandatory. Weve been regulars here for years but this unaccommodating and unreasonable bouncer ruined it. Wont be coming back.

Great bar in Austin with a huge selection of bourbon, whiskey, and scotch. There is also another bar connected to this that serves all sorts of tequilas as well as rum. The ambiance from my perspective is perfect as it's dark but with warm lighting that just feels perfect for the occasion. Definitely my personal favorite bar in downtown Austin and would recommend checking it out if you are looking for just a relaxing bar to grab a drink. Has a outside back patio as well with a food truck

To say this is my favorite place is an understatement. I try to come here at least every couple months. Last night was different. We came for our anniversary and late valentines celebration. We sit at the bar, order Gold Rushes, and usually play some pool. Eden took care of us as the bartender and he made our night!! We have never had such wonderful and hospitable service before and he needs recognizing. This place is aesthetically amazing, very 1920s speakeasy vibes with two pool tables, old movies playing, a jukebox, and live music at night. They do not serve food. I cannot rave about this place more! It is our favorite bar and we will continue to come here as often as we can. Thank you again Eden, we will remember you the next time we are there!!
